I live fine now as my family and I live quite modestly and I earn way above average for my area, but I would still like to increase it substantially year on year.

DAMN, AFTER READING ALL THE OTHER replies, I figured out that the avergae webmaster here makes less than 5k month... :)

I thought all people here made a lot of money (more than 10K month)

to be comfortable in a western country i'd need at least $10K a month
in a perferable country i could live very comportably on just $1000 a month

Not everyone spends everything they make :thumbsup I will say that with RE investments, I put a lot more into savings last year (which are getting ready to go into more RE investments) than I spent on monthly expenses. The question was what income amount would you be HAPPY with, not how much is your income :)
