$7 for anyone who manages to do this for me on photoshop..

Ok, you might think $7 isn't much, but some of you guys can probably do it in 15 minutes or less. I've tried my best on photoshop and can't get this chrome effect on this object (push-able button).

Here's the downloadable psd file of the button : http://www.gigagone.com/file.php?fil...ef06e29be09a6f

And here's the chrome effect I want it to have : http://www.tutorialized.com/tutorial/Liquid-Chrome/4139

I am looking for a nice chrome effect on the button, one for the 'up' layer and one for the 'down' layer (when the button is pushed in) but using the same bevel and emboss effects applied already on each layer, ie a button with a flat top surface and a rim around the edge.

Thanks in advance to anyone who does it for me.

I was hopeing someone would do that out of interest and kindness. But I don't own a website yet so I have no way of making money. And this is just one little button! How much do you want me to pay?!

You might have had more success just asking nicely for a free favor. As well, there are plenty of design boards out there where you might find more help. Good luck.

I really appreciate you doin this and I know it's not just for the $7. I'll give it to you just for your effort and trying to help out, not many others did as you can see.

Add me on ICQ if you want.

Naw, thanks...don't worry 'bout the money. Had p'chop open in the background anyways. Only took me a couple of minutes.

I'll see about redoin' it the way you mention above. As for confining the effects within the white bevel, all you'd need to do is marquee around the outer edge of the white bevel and drop it onto a new transparent background as a second layer. No sweat.

See what I can cook up.

I really appreciate it Maybe someday I can do something for you in return.

Here is my attempt which is NOT at all the effect I am looking for http://picturehost.com/v/User-Albums...utton.jpg.html but I want the overall button to look kind of like that so that I can push it in and out

This is the initial effect that made me want to give it the liquid chrome effect:

I'm tempted to try it for fun, but I see it's been downloaded 11 times already so I'd probably be wasting my time... especially since I'm an amateur with this stuff.

11 downloads however SilentKnight and czarina are the only ones who offered to help. It was fun for me to start with when I was making it, then started getting on my nerves when I couldn't do it after about 5 hours.

Two more variations (with the flattop)...

How it looks all depends on the texture of the chrome image you use as a 'bump'.

Just a tip - while its always good to understand the general basics of how p'shop works by doin' things the step-by-step hard way - its also a good time saver to invest in a few add-on modules such as AlienSkin and WoW filters that automate texture, bevel and f/x layers quite easily.

Thanks, i love that brushed circular effect, like its been machined. Would you mind sending me the left one of the two.

I think my desired effect is more like this:
http://www.jeanettewinterson.com/ass...ge/playboy.jpg

Not alot of grey but more black and white.
