yeah, my bad, i misspoke when i said 10. EIGHT years. happy now? now that all the BS semantics are aside, it does not take eight years to go to trial but lets just pretend that in this case it did. would you leave the damn thing in or would you want it removed? his lawyer gives the excuse that he can't have it removed now because of his other current medical conditions. yeah, thats a cute smokescreen, but it avoids the issue of him not having it removed back then. if he had it removed and then sued, that's one thing and i would have supported him. but the fact that he had it left in when he knew that something was VERY wrong with it, makes it look like he was just trying to evoke more sympathy from a jury and pad the settlement. It worked, except the judge (and subsequent judical review panels) weren't stupid enough to fall for it, which is why the cut the settlement from $750k to $400k. so while i feel sorry for the guy that it happened, like i said in the beginning I got no pity for him deciding to keep the damn thing in.
