Thats the bottomline for me... if AEBN really is serious on making this a thing for webmasters, then they should not allow any clips above 25 seconds. Their current 100mb video size is something ONLY a surfer would need!

Also sponsors who have licensed content from studios better check their contract, before they start to upload... I´m sure it will say that you are not allowed to sublicense the content, which is basicly what AEBN wants you to do:

I agree on the size limit for sure....but then you run into the problem that some surfers will come to the site wanting to post vids of them jacking off...are they going to not allow that? bottom line is, they are going to need an insane team of copyright police to monitor that place

as for that agreement, it sounds very familiar....i am almost positive that was the exact wording that myspace used on their previous terms, before people starting freaking out

Almost all law is build on "intent". That is why the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) made sure that hosting companies were not sued into hell each time one of their users uploaded some pirated content to their servers, because hosting companies "intent" is to provide hosting - nothing else.

A system such as Pornotube is not a hosting company - it´s intent is to make money from ads where the user uploaded content is displayed - either in the stream or on a page. AEBN even got search/browser/toplist function where you can find the content - they are taking an active role in the distribution of the content. So far AEBN hopes to avoid having to police their system, because they need ALOT of good content to be a success, and all the GOOD content today is produced with someone wishing to make money from it.

Napster was illegal, because they did not try to rid their network of pirated content, and AEBN´s pornotube is not different. I would even say its worse simply because they are making direct money of the pirated content in form of ad revenue.

I just have never had any luck with ccbill...I personally think their affiliate system is extremely flawed

mainly just a personal preference from past experiences

I do all my tgp galleries, blog posts AND paysite tour videos at 132.23mb a piece...I feel the surfer needs to jerk off at least 20 times before he finally joins...haha

Sums up the downward spirale we are in.. I know AEBN and others like to say things such as "People fear what they don't understand" blah blah.

Truth is that most of us are not blinded by short sighted "what is new" - there will ALWAYS be something which tries to replace the old models of business. If we grab on to everything simply because "it is new" and not take the time to think thru the consequences, then most of time we end up reinventing the wheel or kicking ourself in th ass :2 cents:

I´m sure alot of content owners and studios are aswell... if only they would do what is right, when they see the content being pirated - sue, sue, sue :thumbsup

Do not worry - AEBN knows that no one want to pay lawyers fees to sue them. Thats why offering 100mb pirated videos is close to risk free for them. They will get the bookmarks, and sell them to some live sex site.
