Thanks. Kind words.

It's clear you were also once a young and foolish (if entertainly spirited) driver of fast cars like myself -- lol

Looking back, I really feel old, I gotta tell ya. It doesn't help either that among the circle of friends on whom I rely for the occasional ride I have acquired the nickname "Belts" of late -- :)

I don't know about this past tense business. I am still young(29's not old is it..) and extremely foolish. :thumbsup

Belts - I take it you're now a seat belt nazi :1orglaugh

Damn it - you've got me chomping at the bit to get working on my car. Just added a new turbo, injectors etc and she's ready to be fired up and taken for a 'test drive' :1orglaugh

Wrong. It's not just the expensive part ... it's the part with the emissions the car does. It burns a lot of oil and the polution is baaaaaaad.

There are a lot of lifts and commercial tools that are using small rotary engines right now.

Next to Rotary - the words fuel and efficient do NOT belong together - fuel monster would be far more suitable. Even a stocky will chew juice like it's a fire breathing 6L V8 UNLESS you drive it at 1500rpm....:thumbsup

Small rotary engines are the most fuel efficient solutions for what I talked above (lifts and such... mainly when you don't need to go 100 mph)

Matt_WildCash 06-24-2006 08:55 AM

I OWN AN RX7 (latest series 7 body shape). I have it bodykitted, big ass 18inch chrome wheels and I took the wing off the back (to give it style and remove wankyness) and put the most agressive looking frontbar on it you've ever seen. Lowered it to the ground and put in a huge stereo and did a couple of small things to the engine.

I will take my camera out tomorrow and get a couple of pictures it looks classy & understated but still stanch. The great thing is here in Australia in my city (the Gold Coast) there are More Ferrari's than RX7's so its very unique which is cool

Go the Rotary!!! LOL

The Rotary Engine is extremely simple in it's design, and therefore very reliable. It also poseses the rather extraordinary double-virtue of being both fuel efficient and powerful. I have some experience with them, and can tell you that I would beat the shit of that car near Shea Stadium, doing donuts and drag-racing it. It seemed it could LIVE at 7,000 rpm, all fucking day.

I knew, a friend long ago had an RO-80 one of the first cars with a rotary engine. Thing is repair is expensive, oil is almost not available anymore for them. But the idea is amazing yes.

Furious_Female 06-27-2006 08:29 AM
