In the end, you decide to meet up with that complete stranger ALONE. You could always arrange a meeting with a friend or somebody to come along.

Don't blame somebody else for your ignorance -slash- stupidity. She got fucked 'cause she was slow-witted. She had AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLL the time to walk away from the whole deal. Meal? Movie? and he got to DRIVE her to the area in question.

Seriously now. Sounds like the making of a hillbilly scam.

I absolutlely agree! Him being an older man, I guess he should have known better, but I know 14 year old girls!! I bet anything that she threw herself at him- trying to get fucked- then changed her story when mommy found out her little daughter wasn't so pure. Then mommy gets all pissed and sues myspace, and her slutty daughter wouldn't dare tell her the truth after all this....
This is why I hate teenagers and don't want kids because they'll become teenagers. :thumbsup

"In May, after a series of e-mails and phone calls, he picked her up at school, took her out to eat and to a movie, then drove her to an apartment complex parking lot in South Austin, where he sexually assaulted her, police said. He was arrested May 19."

SO, is she sueing the phone company also? They also talked that way...

Even if MySpace had verified identity, how does that prevent this crime? They still would have been on there. They still would have met. She still would have been raped.

MySpace is acting like as ISP, they just host the forums. How can they possibly monitor and authenticate millions of people? It's crazy. They shouldn't be held responsible for stuff like this.
