Questiong about DNS changes

Hi,

If i changed my dns over from pointing to host1 to host2. But then decided 1 hour later to change it back. Will that mean that the site will be served from host 2 for approx 1 hour to eveyone at different times depending where they are connecting from?

As long as the pages are identical there should be no noticable downtime? is that correct?

If I am reading this right and you uploaded your site to host2 prior to the first switch and your site is still up on host1 you shouldn't see any downtime.

Hope this helps

thanks for the replies

Yeah i was slightly worried because i could not get hold of the UCJ guy, i moved from server1 since it was down and looked like it was to be offline for some time. Therefore i pointed the dns to host2.. but even though the material is on host2 there is no ucj, so that page will not be working well.

I just hope it's not going to be on host2 for very long.

thanks.
