who is don osterholt?
Earlier in the year I tried to order Zero Tolerance content for my site through the ZT website. I got an email back from one Don Osterholt saying he would be getting back with me shortly on the titles soon to be available. Every couple weeks I would send him an email asking the status of the licensing and he would say check back in a few weeks. After a couple months he sends me an email saying ZT is no longer licensing titles on the web except to websites serving foreign markets. Fine, thanks...it was worth the try that time I suppose.
Now fast forward to august when I get and email from Osterholt asking If I'd be interested in licensing 3rd Degree titles since ZTV's were not available. I shoot him an email back right away...but get no answer. Big surprise, huh? So I then contact 3rd Degree directly which results in a phone response from Ossterholt right away. He says...guess what...3rd Degree has decided to no longer license their titles. He says both ZTV and 3rd Degree titles are available for websites serving foreign markets (?). Wow, he got me twice! Now I'm fucking curious. What is up with this Osterholt guy? He was perfectly nice to me when we talked directly but he's been the number one jackoff this year for me as far as wasting my time dangling licensing offers that never materialize. Any guesses as to what the deal/scam/point is to his ghost marketing campaigns? I can't figure out why he jacks people around like that..we pay 40 to 50k a month in licensing deals with other providers/producers so it's not like we don't have the chedder. Is he doing a dog and pony show for the studios or inflating his importance by dropping other webmasters names ('hey look, see all these other webmasters who want your stuff? Give the rights to me and I'll make you a killing?' etc) WTF? |
