Photographers please help!!!! Urgent!!!!
In about an hour there is going to be 500 Thai monks walking down the street and it's so fucking humid out (been raining all morning, se asian humidity) that my lens will not defog. It's been sitting in my porch for an hour and its not getting much better!!!!
Any tips to fix this? I would hate to miss such an event. Thanks, DWB |

LOL that is so the wrong thing to do ... LOL (what your suggesting is for condisation not humidity) Keep the lens/camera outside with you, Not in your car and not in it's pouch or bag . Let the lens reach the same temp and Humidex as the exterior .. In my camera bag i carry a tube of Residual Oil Remover .. . Its specially designed to absorbe moisture. it's the same oil they use on the Space shuttle windows to help with re entery. The make I've got is ROR, I bought it in Mass. Just outside Plymouth at an ABC repair center (TV standards), It's a bit out there price wise, I think it was like 16$ for an Ounce. Anyhow the only info on the tube is as follows .. V-Vax Products Inc. 1507 N Elston Ave. Chicago Il 60622, the product name is "Ror" Good luck

how ever if the fog is in the lens (as opposed to the outside element .. Really time is the only thig that will save you .. the lens needs to be at the same temp as outside ..

back in college, we never used camera bags with lables on them like 'canon' etc... my teachers used to always recommend us to carry our gear in those soft cooler bags and place a few freeze packs in zip locks in them... this way, it wouldn't grab anyone's attention that you had expensive camera gear... this would keep the film nice and cold and the colors would come out amazing... at the same time the camera would get cold enough that it wouldn't fog up in different temperatures
give it a shot... should work if you dont have time to go pick up the oils and watnot, do what divers do and put some spit on the lense
