The worst are people that have "power positions" like managers/supervisors in retail or airlines or credit card companies.

It's not that they have success or money - it's the little shit that they could do to affect your day in a good way but don't because they're so unhappy with their miserable peon fuckin' existences!

There's a guy, this little arrogant prick that manages the local Rite Aid by my house - It's a long story I won't get into here BUT I'd like to throw this douche a "blanket party" the "ski mask way" and teach him a nice lesson for fucking with my day!

I've had issues with my personal success and friends . . I've found that most of the 'friends' I had, assumed that I would cover all cost, all the time, every time we went to dinner, lunch etc. . . expected me to loan $$ as needed etc . . and it was pointed out to me that I took away all their excuses to be losers too :)

and very many dropped me due to the nature of my work . . think about, they were pissed because I wouldn't let them come hang out while I shoot, wouldn't hook them up with the models . .

now the people that know what I do and don't know me personally don't make close associations with me and I don't push it . . the friend I have, I've had for 25 years and that's about it for me . . (he's a working musician, and even he doesn't really understand the nature of my work, like most of this forum has no concept of shooting sex from the comments I've seen and read) everyone else is just an association or someone I do biz with . . that's all.

(Just imagine a 51 year old heavily tattooed guy pulls up in a new caddy or vette, somewhat quiet and reserved, and you know that he gets his pole waxed by 18-20 year old hotties and gets paid for it . . How does that hit you? . . Makes people a little uncomfortable in my experience)

anyone I've tried to work with and be 'friends' with has gone 'side-ways' on me in a major way and I no longer allow anyone close that shoots . .

so have success changed me? you bet . . am I an asshole? . . nope . . . I just play it very close, staying focused on the work. I'm always polite and courteous to everyone . . that's called professionalism.

it happens in all industries, I read books on Elvis,Jim Morrison and Frank Sinatra.Some of the most insecure people on the planet. I decided to stop reading biographies on entertainment people it was too depressing ,they had the world by the balls and never really saw it.

The real question is: Do they succeed because they turn into assholes, or do they turn into assholes because of success? I guess it'S a bit of both ....
