Pimp...
My mate just bought a $14,000 solid gold cartier... that was from Duty Free, so was about $2100 off it... Will get a pic when I see him :winkwink:
|
I like cartier pasha but you won't get a 38mm for $3k
I think the 35mm looks a bit small on guys http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.c..._1896_23721820 |

And with me as much as I like watches, I don't really see spending thousands on one, unless it's just something rare and great. I like to have alot of different looks as long as they're quality. I already bought 6 watches so far this year and they were all in the $300 to $500 price range.

If you want something pimp that only watch people can appreciate then check out
Mille Miglia http://www.chopard.com/worldwide/us/...gliaprodfl.htm Personally i like it in the black face Hit me up if you want a contact that can ship you the watch from vegas minus the sales tax and 30% off. Mr. Romance |

theyre dress watches, dont wear mine that often, then again you dont wear a Tag to a tux either imho http://www.dutchteencash.com/post/boards/cartier.jpg |
i hate rolex, i hate tag, i hate movado... just my opinion... everyone and their grandma have em
i highly recommend you get an automatic watch... check out the followwing: TUTIMA (great german company... incredible watches in that price range) CHASE (see ther automatic line) BREITLING (you might get the lower model, but i'd take it over a rolex any day) LOCMAN (great company, new fairly new and getting popular fast and prices going up) hope you like :pimp |

Can't go wrong with Omega and their Seamaster
|
Lots of different opinions on this one it seems...

Well within the 3k limit. About 2200 where I priced it. |

Just make sure you wear it, no use in getting a bling rolex and puttin it in the safe imho. |

Indeed, the reason for not spending more than around 3k is that I want to wear it all the time. More expensive than that would just feel scary to carry around on your wrist... |
Check out Mont Blanc watches. They cost around 3k

My Daytona ownz.

Could anyone tell me if shops like that can be trustworthy?
For example this - http://www.jacobtime.com/osc/product...27f7bfefca22bf How comes watch with retail price of 15k is sold for 3k? |
I'm a total watch whore. IMHO the best looking watches are the Brietlings, the Franck Mullers, and the Ulysse Nardin.

If you wanna get a watch that keeps it value get a rolex cartier iwc breguet jlc or so a real watch and not a company who starts a 1000 bucks po box company in Switzerland 30 yrs ago and uses ETA mechanisms just so they put swiss made on it |
Quote:
its not a bad brand they made rolex alike copies in the 80s, ETA movements, so basically youre paying for the gold, the watch itself is worth a few 100 |

thinkx we can compare values in 10-20 yrs....I'll let ya know how I'm making out...

BTW, this is one of my U-boats:

nice :thumbsup |
I bought a nice watch from Tiffany that was around that figure. They've got some really unique looking pieces, you should check them out :thumbsup

Its a nice watch but its never gonna be worth a penny more then you paid for it. Not cause I dont want it to be but because its nothing special, nice faceplage with an ETA movement or alike. Ingersoll makes them too. Two hundred bucks and Ill tell you they even look good. If the name rings a bell, they made the Mickey watch. http://www.ambience360.com/MacArthur...0RO_300x02.jpg |

Too many nice watches in here :)
Anyone know of a good store in NYC that sells Tag Heuer? |
Well....the key is my girl owns a store that sells them ;-)

omega is much better than a tag, personally i would get one directly from some of the smaller companies in switzerland that dont have worldwide distribution. i just got a distributorship for one of them for here in the US. |

I have a tag that is about 10 years old now. but very classy looking. I alos like Doxa, and Britling.
|
I purchased a Movado in Vegas during the AVN show this past January. Very simple yet classy design and I love the dual-latch clasp.
|
wheres the best place to get used, 2nd hand watches?
i was thinking of a used presedential rolex or a cartier roadster |
Quote:
I like the even simpler Movado's. Thin, black face. Just hands. They are for the guys who are confident about their penis size. |
Get an Omega. I had a Rolex and the Omega is a better watch.
