Fucking Flash Ads on this Board - GoFuckYourself.com

I know this board is advertiser supported and I am cool with that. But cant we at least have a rule that advertisers who want to put music and other sound effects on their ads must include a little "sound: on/off" thing in the corner or something? And since I would have to go to their ad to turn off the sound, they should still be getting what they paid for (branding) as my mind will have to view and interpret the ad in order to locate the sound off button.

From what I've seen and know that and sound on banners can only make sound when you mouse over, if you are getting music without your mouse on it, sure Eric can get them fixed...

No, I am getting the sound when my mouse passes over them on the way to the menu bar in my browser. Then, the sound loops for a very long time, and I cant get it to shut off unless I reload the page. As we all know, Flash, being the annoying device that it is, does not respond to the stop button on the browsers, and for whatever reason does not have a "stop" function on the context menu.

I understand the need to advertise, after all, running this board costs alot of money and the people behind it have to eat too. I am not anti-advert, but I am anti-annoyance. Flash is a piss poor technology to begin with, for the reasons stated above. I would uninstall Flash completely if not for the few sites that actually use it usefully, like YahooMaps.

Its not even like the ads on the board use the sound to say anything important. Its just noise. Its an assult on senses and its time for it to stop. Trust me, top spot advertisers, no one is clicking on your ads because you put that crap in there. And you're loosing my clicks because I reload the page until I get one that dosent talk to me.
