Google...my friends, has done it again!!!

Just realized they have released their TEST version of their new WEB ALBUMS! I am a HUGE Picasa fan so needless to say, this will be awesome!

Their product manager blogged this:

"Reading feedback from Picasa users is one of the best parts of my job. And lately the feedback has been especially clear and direct: please offer an easy way to share photos online. Today, we?re delighted to begin testing a new Picasa feature that does just that. It?s called Picasa Web Albums.

Check it out -- pretty damn cool if you ask me!!!

This is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

interesting, i believe this is the first time they are charging for something (besides their ads of course) $25/year for an extra 6 gigs (i think) of storage?

SWEET!

I use google for.. searching, news, weather, spell checker, news groups, images, email, an income source, an advertising agency, tv watching, and now as a photo album.

Maybe I should just get their logo tattooed on my ass.

i think with gbuy coming out you'll see them offer extras for nominal fees on a lot of stuff.

dont get me wrong, they'll still offer everything free.. but it'll be easier for them to collect money now.. so it'll just be a matter of plugging in a payment link anywhere they want.. especially since they're going to have our CCs on file.

Yep, I've been saying for a while this is exactly the direction they are going with writely and spreadsheets to. At least in my opinion. Alot of people think they are just made for the web, but I am sure once they are rolled out and being widely used they'll release a free desktop based office package that intergrates directly with their web version for 'sharing/viewing/collaboration'.
