soccer should be called dive ball or fake injury ball...guys get carried of in streatchers left and right, if a guy goes off in a streatcher in hockey or american/canadian football they load him into an ambulance and he spends the next few days in the hospital...I like soccer but the diving is so lame, guy gets touched and he goes flailing all over the feild. Guys in my rec hockey league get stitches on the bench and are right back out there, pussies.

I'll say it again...

a regulation football is 12" long, or a foot. So it is called a Football.

There is no magical answer, the sport is named after the ball. A basketball is used in Basketball. A Volleyball is used in Volleyball, a Football is used in Football.

Rugby requires all players on the pitch to have all skills, from passing to tackling, to kicking and running. There are no regular breaks, clock stops or personnel changes (a limited number of substitutions are allowed). You have to concentrate the whole entire game, make correct tactical decisions no matter what position you play without a coach dictating to you and be amazingly fit and strong.

It can be hard to understand what is going on if you are not familiar with the rules, but try to watch a team like the New Zealand All Blacks if you can, it is breathtaking!

These matches are on this weekend and I think the times given are the British times.

Saturday June 17
International Match
Argentina v Wales (19.30)
Australia v England (11.00)
New Zealand v Ireland (08.35)
South Africa v Scotland (14.00)

Its hard for people to understand, but imagine you are playing soccer against the 11 fastest, strongest and most powerful soccer players in the world. The refferee hands you the ball and tells them to separate you from the ball when he blows his whistle. He gives them helmets and pads so they dont kill you when they get to you. Welcome to small college football. You are not ready for the NFL.

He said it perfectly.

NFL players would kill and rugby players.

Here's a question to continue the discussion: who are the bettet athletes: Rugby players, Soccer Players, or American Football players?

Try and tell this guy that:

That's nasty. But those are the rules in rugby, aren't they?
