another great pic question how long does it take to get a model like that and how long can you shoot her like that?
You'll hafta' ask Ken Marcus. He photographed the model - only the background and composite is my work on that one.
But having done similiar rigging myself in the past, it usually takes about 15-20 mins. to rig...and the length of time you can shoot her in that position depends largely on the model's discomfort level. If its well-rigged and not cutting off circulation, you can get quite a few shots before lowering her down. If you don't observe pressure points on the body, the time is drastically shortened. In a pose like that we'd use a side-to-side head nod as a safe 'word' and would lower her immediately if she indicated she'd had enough.
wow, that's a great shot and an impressive pose for that woman. it looks like a lot of work!
I quite agree. At first I looked for some other means of suspension, but there's none...except her feet and hair. I mean, I've seen a lot of hair-only suspensions done (Insex does them fairly frequent)...but not often in a suspended hogtie position.
The folks over at Ken Marcus are excellent riggers IMO.
