I think most people can only honestly say there are probably no more than around 5 "friends for life" that you would trust 100%. I know I can really on count about 5 people like that. I have lots of friends but only 5 that I know will always be there whatever!

Not many where I live now. I do count my net friends that I only see once a year as "real" friends, but it would be nice to live closer to more industry people who at least understand what I'm talking about if I want to rant about work over beers.

Thousands over the years - HS friends from the 60s I still talk to and tons of people that I would trust implicitly - but then I keep biz relationships completely separate from "friend" relationships. There are a few that have transcended that barrier but very few - and most probably havent posted around this board in a few years
