"Name that Tool" No! Not THAT Kinda "Tool"

Tool as in an 'App'

When it was about 3 years or so ago, (actually just before I joined GFY) I was on a shared server, and I uploaded a tool, which I got from a reputable site, quite innocently, in order to help me do chmodding online from the browser. It worked, but also had the side effect of enabling me to get higher up, or deeper down (depending on which way is the cortrect way to describe it) than I should have been able too do...
ie See other accounts etc.

Fast forward on to present day.

I now run my own server, and its other people who are the ones that share it... but i got to thinking... Im all 'secured up' against people getting to 'my' section... (As secured up as I can realistically be)

But am I secured up (on behalf of those accounts on my server) if someone does what I did... Now, Im not offering anyone a hacking challeng. cause Ive been around long enough to know that if someones determined enough to cause trouble... Then they eventally will do so...

But, suppose it happended as it did to me, in a totally innocent way? You cant blame curiosity...
So, i thought Id post here to see if anyone knows the name oif the programm Im refering to, so as at the very least, I can keep an eye out for it on the server itself...

I understand if you know of this this tool, you may be reluctant to openly post its name in the forum, so if thats the case, will someonje email it to me ?
