Epassporte Suspending Accounts

this happend to me twice in the past 2 months

Has happend to my friends and people i work with also, why is epassporte trying to cause trouble like paypal does.

They want you to fax all types of information in...this is crazy, epassporte needs to stop doing this FOR NO REASON...I could see if there was a complaint on my account but you can not suspend everyones account that is crazy

Well from the information you gave me when you just contacted me I could see a reason why it might have been suspended.

Accounts aren't suspended randomly, there are antifraud filters in places and your account might have triggered one of these.

Ofcourse not, suspension is done manually based on antifraud filters.
The antifraud filters is triggered randomly though

They locked mine 2 days ago, so I e-mailed all documents yesterday. This afternoon I got e-mail saying everything is OK and its functional again.. Bang, it got suspended tonight again. What the fuck? Are they in competition with paypal for asshat cup or something?

this whole "account verification" thing is a scam as far as i'm concerned.. If they are so concerned with making sure you are who you are they should ask for that info BEFORE they take your money not after , its ludicrous to have 1 set of rules to give them money and another set of rules to take it out.. its even more bizarre when you consider its supposed to be an "anti-fraud" measure , but lets think about that for 2 seconds.. how would this prevent fraud..? they have no legal way of verifying if your documents are correct.. and even if they did they certainly cant verify "faxed" documents. If a fraudster is gonna ripoff people im pretty sure he can fake a piece of paper and use a fax machine..so in essence realistically these "account seizures" arent going to stop any fraud , but will only hurt honest people who use their epassporte accounts for re-curring billing..

Guess how many times i have had to "verify my account" with my capital one VISA in like 10 years ?? NEVER

Guess how many times i have had to verify my bank one visa ??? NEVER

O man you are so right, this is such a pain in the ass and a joke to call it for security reasons. I could understand maybe if I received a complaint on my account they would look into it and want me to verify. But that is just not the case. Epassporte is starting to turn into a paypal company and it is getting nasty. Why would someone pay to have a program that randomly goes around your server and suspends accounts. THAT IS FUCKED UP.
Epassporte knows I am not fucking around, I have had the account 2 years and all of a sudden they want me to verify BOTH my accounts. Does it fucking look like I am commiting fraud here? This is a fucked up situation....

Well your account must have money in it so epassporte can use it while the account is suspended. I mean what is the point of suspending an account with no money in it? Oh wait this isn't paypal, Epassporte is even worse, they will suspend your account even if it has no money or recent transactions!

This person was extremely well known in the industry, obviously not a case of fraud, but they still made him jump through hoops.

I never got such an email, have had WELL OVER 5k in my account in the past and never had problems. Untill I have 990 and someone else over there is having a bad day and getting suspended happy. If they would have suspended the account 3 hours later than they did I would have had 7k+ in there..So I guess that is good.
As far as this 5k rule I have never heard of it and never got an email saying anything abotu it in my epass email. They are just ball busters

no reason? dude... they work with a bank or banks. they deal in USD. that means they are accountable to international law, banking standards and practices and to the US Treasury Dept. just because they started an offshore company with offshore accounts and were very loose with creating new accounts and general banking practices does not mean they wont be held accountable at some point.

Keyser Soze is a VERY nice and friendly guy, I am glad he works at epassporte because without him I would be pulling out my hair.
However my problem is with the company and its "rules". If everything goes smoothly and they do not make me send everything in 4 times and they do get me back up and running soon I will be on better terms with them.

In this part of Kansas we have only local banks, all of which use correspondents for handling wires. As a result, they charge $10 for receiving US wires and $30 for foreign wires. If you work with European sponsors, some of whom only offer wires (and may charge $20 for sending them) or EPassporte, it's pretty obvious why you are going to choose EP.

My problems with EP have so far been administrative, bloody aggravating and time-wasting, but minor. Nevertheless I hate it that every time I go to use their card I heave a sigh of relief when it works. I don't put much money through them and I get it out quickly because I cannot recall a single customer-service oriented business, no matter what its primary industry, which paid no attention to customer service and which didn't eventually go belly up. At least until there is a viable alternative to EP, that would be bad news.

It's no good people excusing them by going on about banking regulations. We all work with banks and card companies and know that they handle things better. I can recall three or four occasions when someone has suspected abuse, but they have picked up the 'phone and checked before screwing with my transactions. I was in a store once making an unusually large purchase and Amex wanted to confirm it was me before approving the transaction. Sure banks and card companies are not perfect either, but when was the last time you recall any of them getting this steady stream of complaints about suspended accounts and no notifications at all?

And as someone else said, the time to confirm who you are (as if copy documents sent by fax or email prove that anyway) is before they take your money. Not after. And what about customers who have verified bank accounts or credit cards, yet now need to send EP copy documents just to change an email address? If such measures offered anything by way of security, why is EP, of all the companies with/via whom you conduct electronic transactions, the only one using them?

Its also listed in the TOS, an email is sent when the CH approaches the $5,000 saying they are required to verify their account. This goes for all accounts no matter who the owner is.

Ye, right .. I had to re-send mine 4 times already. CSR keeps telling me that ?he? did not receive all documents. I asked who the hell is ?he?, but ofcourse they are not allowed to disclose Mr. He. I got 2 e-mails from verification department like this one
?We have received your verification documents. All documents satisfy our
security requirements, and our records have been updated. ?
so why is it still locked? I spent 2 hours on the phone today (on hold) waiting for them to find out from corporate office what the issue is and nothing.. and then I got the usual it will take 7 to 10 business days to resolve. I?m talking to kayzer right now, hopefully he can help..

And what about customers who have verified bank accounts or credit cards, yet now need to send EP copy documents just to change an email address? If such measures offered anything by way of security, why is EP, of all the companies with/via whom you conduct electronic transactions, the only one using them?

As I have mentioned to you before the reason you have to prove you are who you are when you ask to have the email changed is that we want to make sure its the right person requesting it.

And yet it is apparently not enough that I can access the account, quote the last 4 digits of the card last used to fund the account, etc., etc. All information I couldn't possibly have unless I were who I claim or had compromised the account thoroughly.

With that last possibility in mind, because surely otherwise there cannot be any genuine security concerns, bizarrely they don't even contact the email address on record and don't require that the request for change comes from that address. So if I had compromised the account to the extent necessary to answer those questions, I could complete the change without the real account holder ever having a clue what I was doing.

Epassporte has been working perfectly for me over two years now. The only time i needed support was because of my own fault and the problem was solved extremely fast. Thanks Keyser Soze!

I have a feeling that one of the "anti-fraud" flags might have something to do with being in an east block country. I notice that many of the people who complain about issues with epassporte seem to be located in these countries.

All fixed here.. didn't get the limit I wanted but I got to tell you, Michael (aka Kaiser) came through like no one else. If it wasn?t for him I would still be on 7 to 10 working day schedule to pay my affiliates.

Accounts aren't suspended randomly, there are antifraud filters in places and your account might have triggered one of these.
Thats the exact same thing PayPal says.

This cartoon illustrates the truth:
