That is...without a doubt - one of the saddest fuckin' clips I have EVER seen!

Roth and the boys were a gas back in the old VH days...but jeezus, how the mighty have fallen.

I also saw a clip of him performing Jump with a big orchestra, and up 'till now thought that was the lowest he'd sink.

What next - a polka version? A duet with Bobby Vinton?

Someone just euthanize the guy and put us all outta his misery.

My friend John Williams did this like 4 years ago,(not the song Jump, but hard rock bluegrass renditions) but he had success at it. This will flop.

John had a band some of you may know Hayseed Dixie. Started out doing covers of AC/DC Except they had a marketing ploy. http://www.hayseed-dixie.com Whole thing had a back story. John actually played, sang and recorded the whole first album himself then he had road musicians that played the parts. I recorded 4 or 5 tracks of some of my older songs I wrote at his studio.

That's AWESOME... a great band with him... I don't know a one of 'em but they strum and jangle with the best.

I've always wanted to hear a crooner do van halen tunes, actually... but this is a great idea... shows the songs for the the quality they have as pure songs playable in any mode...

                    Way to go Diamond Dave!

If it was just the band playing and he was off to the side of the stage, out of camera range and not singing, it actually wouldn't be so bad...

They were riding him pretty hard on the radio this morning too

I was laughing my ass off when I saw this last night on Leno and then watched it again on Tivo and thought the music was pretty cool, even though Roth is done.
