Ye, right .. I had to re-send mine 4 times already. CSR keeps telling me that ?he? did not receive all documents. I asked who the hell is ?he?, but ofcourse they are not allowed to disclose Mr. He. I got 2 e-mails from verification department like this one
?We have received your verification documents. All documents satisfy our
security requirements, and our records have been updated. ?
so why is it still locked? I spent 2 hours on the phone today (on hold) waiting for them to find out from corporate office what the issue is and nothing.. and then I got the usual it will take 7 to 10 business days to resolve. I?m talking to kayzer right now, hopefully he can help..

My problems with EP have so far been administrative, bloody aggravating and time-wasting, but minor. Nevertheless I hate it that every time I go to use their card I heave a sigh of relief when it works. I don't put much money through them and I get it out quickly because I cannot recall a single customer-service oriented business, no matter what its primary industry, which paid no attention to customer service and which didn't eventually go belly up. At least until there is a viable alternative to EP, that would be bad news.

It's no good people excusing them by going on about banking regulations. We all work with banks and card companies and know that they handle things better. I can recall three or four occasions when someone has suspected abuse, but they have picked up the 'phone and checked before screwing with my transactions. I was in a store once making an unusually large purchase and Amex wanted to confirm it was me before approving the transaction. Sure banks and card companies are not perfect either, but when was the last time you recall any of them getting this steady stream of complaints about suspended accounts and no notifications at all?

And as someone else said, the time to confirm who you are (as if copy documents sent by fax or email prove that anyway) is before they take your money. Not after. And what about customers who have verified bank accounts or credit cards, yet now need to send EP copy documents just to change an email address? If such measures offered anything by way of security, why is EP, of all the companies with/via whom you conduct electronic transactions, the only one using them?

As I have mentioned to you before the reason you have to prove you are who you are when you ask to have the email changed is that we want to make sure its the right person requesting it.

And yet it is apparently not enough that I can access the account, quote the last 4 digits of the card last used to fund the account, etc., etc. All information I couldn't possibly have unless I were who I claim or had compromised the account thoroughly.

With that last possibility in mind, because surely otherwise there cannot be any genuine security concerns, bizarrely they don't even contact the email address on record and don't require that the request for change comes from that address. So if I had compromised the account to the extent necessary to answer those questions, I could complete the change without the real account holder ever having a clue what I was doing.

Epassporte has been working perfectly for me over two years now. The only time i needed support was because of my own fault and the problem was solved extremely fast. Thanks Keyser Soze! :)

I have a feeling that one of the "anti-fraud" flags might have something to do with being in an east block country. I notice that many of the people who complain about issues with epassporte seem to be located in these countries.

I still havnet had any issues with epass.
Why do so many others do?

CaptainHowdy 06-07-2006 01:15 PM

All fixed here.. didn't get the limit I wanted but I got to tell you, Michael (aka Kaiser) came through like no one else. If it wasn?t for him I would still be on 7 to 10 working day schedule to pay my affiliates. :thumbsup

Accounts aren't suspended randomly, there are antifraud filters in places and your account might have triggered one of these.

Thats the exact same thing PayPal says.

This cartoon illustrates the truth:
