A win win win solution to 3 major US problems...

1) Dig a moat the length of the US-Mexico border;

2)use the dirt to raise the levies in New Orleans;

3) put all the Florida alligators into the moat.

Any other problems you would like me to solve?

biggest problem I see with that is from now on when you get to the border you will be bombarded with one arm mexicans selling you alligator belts, shoes and hats instead of chicklets.

I give it a year before they have a wall across the canadian/usa border.. The way the news is freaking out about these 17 idiot terrorists with fertilizer is unreal.. Now all i see on the news is "unprotected areas exist between the usa/canadian border, terrorists and drug dealers frequent these routes!!"

It has been said that the Can-US border is the world's longest undefended border. I'm sure there are those in government on both sides who, although desire better security, also want to preserve the goodwill between our two countries. I don't see walls going up.

There is no problem with chronic migration of snow-mexicans like there is for wetbackxicans.

I've always been amazed at how easy it is to get through the borders. Meixco is one thing, and the Canandian Border yet another, but in Europe..... You can drive through different countries in Europe and there's not even a sign.

Well I heard on the radio the other day that one or another of our ministers has his panties in a bunch about the passport date. It seems the US has named 2007 as the date when EVERYONE moving forward or back from Canada to the US shall require a passport. The minister guy said this will be bigger than the softwood lumber thing, since it will affect thousands of citizens personally.

Imagine if you needed a passport just to run over and get some gas and a stop at Fred Meyer?

So they're trying to push the date to 2009.
