eNom SUCKS! What registrar will transfer a domain without approval or 5 day wait time
enom.com has put one of my clients domain on hold, and gone for the day.
He has it registered through registerfly.com and after spending 2 hours on the phone with them myself, trying to get it sorted - its finally figured out that enom .com has put the hold on the domain, and we have to contact [email protected] and [email protected] My client has just done this a bit ago, but their business hours are 6AM - 6PM, and as they have put the domain on hold, it appears as unregistered to the entire world, thus his site is effectively down. The domain is: turboupload.com Now, I've heard that there are registrar's out there, that will just transfer a domain through without getting approval or waiting the 5 days - this is is a situation where that would be helpful. The client is willing to offer $500 to anyone who can get the domain operational for him again and/or move it off registerfly/enom so he can get it live again. If you can do this, ICQ me: 276737266 |

Your client should manage their domain names better.

How does ICANN think that they can give all this power to a company that does not have 24/7 support? They are ruining businesses / lives this way... I feel for this guy. |

Having said that, I got not one ounce of confidence in any registrar and given a choice, would not trust them with 5 cents. The day ICANN is dumped as the controlling body for domains, the better.

Its not because of it renewing... they didnt notify as to why its on hold... just placed it on hold about 6 hours ago, and that was that... registerfly didn't even know until i harrassed them on the phone and they figured it out.

Enom Rocks, I think something else is going on here.
Domains don't go on this hold status simply because they are being transferred Look at the whois x Turbo Upload ([email protected]) +38165454545 Fax: Adress City, 78000 YU Could very much be the reason why |

your domain is not on hold
http://www.turboupload.com/ works fine here however fake whois info is enough to send your domain into delete cycle

http://www.enom.com/domains/whois.as...0&su bmit.y=0 shows it on registrar hold at the moment. Doing a "dig" shows that it's out of the zone file, and not resolving anymore (for some folks, though, it might have cached DNS results for a few more hours/days). flashbang and slavdogg are probably right, that someone made a WHOIS complaint about the domain, perhaps using the form at: http://wdprs.internic.net/ Nice way to shut down competitors using bad WHOIS... Best solution might be to login to your control panel, fix the WHOIS, and then call them in the morning. Then, once it's back in action, move it to a preferred registrar. The name needs to be renewed in a couple of weeks, too. By the way, it's not wise to make the Admin email for a domain name be from that same domain (e.g. [email protected] for the turbodomain.com domain). Now that the name is on hold, your email is down too, so this means you can have a heck of a time transferring the name, authenticating ownership, etc. since you no longer control the admin email (i.e. it's a black hole at present).

Well there are other even worse examples. Registerfly put 73 of my domains on hold in the "redemption status" 2 weeks ago. All those domains had been paid for. 50 of them were even newly registered and paid for only 9 days before. Last two weeks I have contacted them numerous times on the phone and created ~10 support tickets. They have not yet even explained to me what has happened or why it has happened. They are fucking cheating me of the domains I have paid for and destoying the value and traffic of the 23 sites I had in action. DO NOT EVER USE REGISTERFLY! |
