I've always wondered how much these girls make. Can a girl in the U.S. make a decent amount from being a cam girl, or are most girls from other countries becuase the pay is low?

It's like asking what a solo site makes..there are just too many factors...what niche she in, what hours she'll work, how much she'll do, how much she markets herself, how much competition and traffic her network makes, whether she does independent shows, how good her equipment is, how fast her connection is. And so on.

But, I will say, that I am in a very specialized niche, and when I was camming 20 hours a week, I was making about $500-750 a week. Which is a helluva lot more than I'd make doing anything else around here without a college degree.

I was a camgirl for 6 years. At first, there were very few webcam sites compared to today, and I remember being able to do more then 1000$ us per week in approx. 25-30 hours of cam. Since there is more competition and because of other factors, it now goes down to 500$ per week, but that depends on the site you're working on, the hours you put in, the accounting, and ofcourse looks and attitude counts alot...some studios offers a fixed salary per hour, some do that plus bonus on sales, but most of them will only pay a fraction of the minutes sold to the chathost. Cost per minute goes from a 1,99 per minute up to 5,99 per minute so ofcourse the cut that the model gets depends on that...

The most I ever made was on Ifriends the night of new years eve of 2001, in 5 hours I did 800$ us... That is more then most strippers per shift, and I guess some hookers too!
