baseball isn't much better in terms of excitement. it's all a matter of acquired taste - you grow up with a sport - you understand and like it - otherwise...

at least baseball you see scores of 10+ sometimes........when have you seen a soccer game over 5 goals combined?

In soccer you don't have to be tall, short or big.

All you have to be is fit and skillful at kicking ball. One of the sports America competes at the level with anyone else in the world. Unlike baseball, football, basketball mainly.

Skill and anticipation are the things. Like has been said it's totally a matter of what you were bought up with and how well you understand the game. The thing that confuses me is where you get 3 hours from?

Cricket scores in the 100's but is still almost as boring as baseball. Certainly stupidly high scores don't make a good sport.

Your damn right soccer is #1.

One nice thing about soccer is that it doesn't require a player to be 6'10 or weigh 250+ pounds.
It just requires a fit person.

I'm 6'0, 175 pounds.
Even if good, I couldn't play American Football or basketball....could play soccer though.
