party poker is a publicaly traded company with third party testing done to their software etc. Learn to play GOOD poker and you wont get beat so much. Alot of people make a living playing online, and know better. google party poker bad beats and you will find arguments for both sides. They are guaranteed to make money on the rake and entry fees, why risk their reputation on that? They make almost a billion dollars a year as is (party that is).
Some networks intentionaly create big pots (to get more rake) so you will get beat alot more on them, but none of the main poker sites are like that. Also post some hand examples and maybe we can see what you mean (IE: you flop a set, but get beat by a runner runner flush or something).

That's not an insult many players think they are better than they actually are.

That's just how poker players are... they have huge ego.

Just look at it from the bright side, it's a learning lesson when you lose... an expensive one none the least, but at least it'll make you better lol

Don't play online. I win in real life most of the time but lose online to horrible beats. My theory is that online players tend to "chase" even with mediocre hands because of their anonymity (not to mention the fact that money doesnt look like money to them since they are just numbers on screen). In casinos, people usually give you shit for bad beating someone so they try not to out of embarassment. Of course, you still get your share of bad beats in real life, but it's not as bad as online. I also see a lot of KK vs AA matchups online than offline. Just stop playing online. I have been online poker sober for many months now.

I can only speak for our site, but bottom line, Only play on sites that allow 1 ip per player, or, you will sit down at a 10 person table, and 9 of the players will be 1 person. We only allow 1 ip per player, and monitor it daily. If you try and log on multiple players under 1 ip, both accounts will get banned.

Of course there are ways around this, but it takes a more skill person to get around it, thus for increasing your chance at fair, real play dramatically. In addition, sites that have alot of amateur players is more recommended then some of the sites that endorse professionals at their tables, like the ones you have mentioned.

I agree. I've seen to many people get screwed online. At my weekly home game/tourneys if you play bad, you're going to hear about it for weeks. We're all friends and college buddies, so it's all in good fun.

Usually the only bad beats that ever happen, is when somebody outside the circle plays with us who doesn't know anything, and they'll call down any bet with shit and win. But they usually can't finish the victory and get second or third.
