Nope, you should only do design work for people known in this business. negotiate via email and tell him to send half upfront. you do not have to wait for the first half to arrive to start work but you should wait for it to arrive before you deliver anything.

I don't know anything about ACpay. I've never had the need. I've always felt CCbill, Jettis, and Epoch could handle anyone's needs completely so I've never sought out any others.

We're years away from any billing option that doesn't revolve around a credit card. The industry will all but cxrash before that.
