Since I have entered this buisness I have seen my sleep decrease by about 50%...i probably only get like 4 hours a day. The 9-5 plus reading articles and working on sites....as long as my social life on the weekend is cool I dont have a problem...do you guys sleep or just rest your eyes for a few minutes?

I know that it's not very good for your health, but I once read an article which said, that people who sleep between 5-7 hours live longer. Yeehaa, eternal life!!!

oh man... i sleep rough if at all. doesn't mean i sleep on cardboard boxes or anything... but, i have a computer at the side of the bed which is always on. if i wake up at 4am then i check stats... hehe, and stat checking is the first thing i do in the morning always, before taking a piss or checking the mail box.

in fact you just caught me... i woke up about 5 minutes ago and i'm on the bedside computer right now.

its 11:12 am on a glorious friday morning. i went to sleep about 2-ish so i had a pretty solid night - albeit collapsed on top of the sheets. i must've dozed off whilst checking my stats last night.

shit thats a good question..usually the 7-11 down the street sees 2 black guys comming in and getting like 3-4 slushies at a time and they geta lil paranoid...but anyways Slurpees seem to keep me up and awake...maybe its the brain freeze that kicks my eyes back open...another interesting fact is that sex has gottena lot better since I stay up allnight..usually I bust a couple of times and I rool over but now its like i picture my girl as content...my life will never be the same

i sleep way too much... average about 9-10 hours a night !

not that i need it (7 hours makes me feel perfectly fine) but my problem is that once asleep i cannot manage to wake up early, i just sleep until i wake up automatically (that is, after 9-10 hours), even if i put 3 alarmclocks on my desk !

it's pretty relaxing that's for sure, but my deadlines are hardly achieved... and that sucks...

anyone having dealt with the same problem? any smart solutions?

i've got bad tinnitus.. i have a cunt of a time sleeping at best with the ringing in my ears.... in fact im sinking a beer right now so im a little more toasty before i go to bed... (even though alcohol aggravates it) taking sleeping pills sucks hard.. the sleep is unrewarding and they don't wear off until lunchtime the next day.. i find it easier sleeping in than getting to sleep... usually in the morning theres lots of racket outside and it masks the tinnitus a bit more..

I haven't owned an alarm clock since 1996. I go to bed around 4 am and wake up about 8 hours later. Than I work. I take a small nap in the afternoon around 6 than work until 4 am again.. However and whenever I feel like it.

Get a live/work loft and a good coffee machine. Most of the webmasters I work with are in different time zones. The best is to get a girlfiend who will services you while you are in front of the computer

that should keep your stress levels down.

Its funny that you mention that because there is a lot of BS thats been happening at my 9-5 lately. I have been discussing it with a few family members of mines and a few adult friends and its about time for me to spread my wings. I go to bed around 1-2AM everyday and wake up at 7:00AM (if I have school) or 9:30AM (if I don't and no, I don't use an alarm clock to wake up at 9:30).

3 or 4 times a week, I take 2-3 hour naps in the early/late afternoon.
