I'm of quite a different opinion with Dell.
Started using them about a 1 year ago, maybe a bit longer, and have had nothing but great experiences...
I've order 3 systems total now, 2 pdas, 3 monitors, and couple of printers etc... All of them are to me very quickly.
Customer service admittedly could be better as far as tech support goes, but comparitely to experience with Sony, and Gateway, they rocked.

serioulsy, it does not take that long to build a PC.

all of my servers arrive with in about 3-4 days if not 2 days day to prep and dovernight. get yourself someoen with a enterprise reseller free overnight shipping and you can get things bumped into the priority queue.
Though if they are short of a product like the 850's were on a two week backorder about 3 weeks ago then your screwed and have to wait.

I think they over predict on purpose. Every time I have ordered from Dell they give a 3 week estimation and I have it sitting in my living room within a week. I've always been impressed with their speediness. This includes 2 desktop computers, a laptop, a monitor, a MP3 player, and 2 different parts orders.
