Need a new digital camera!

I broke the display of my pentax optio s and now I plan to buy a new portable cam as the cost of repair will probably exceed the price of a new one?!

Any suggestions for a good, small and handy cam? Shouldn't cost too much, as I break stuff alot

You have a bunch of good options. I just recently picked up a great little canon for $300. It had a great waterproof housing for an additional $100. One of the features I liked was the ability to zoom during the video. It takes SD cards.

I would shy away from Sony just becuase of the propriatary membery sticks.

Two other great ones I saw were from Fuji and Olympus. One of them had amazing color and ultra sharp focus. I think the fuji was the best in low light conditions.

Hope this helps

I'd take the Sonys Cybershoot any day over Canon.

either the canon powershot range or the nikon coolpix range will have something at the right price and features, and fairly small. I've had a couple from both and they are always awesome. the canon Ixus 6 megapixel is an awesome camera too, and tiny, but maybe a little more expensive than you need.

Seems like most of the content producers around opt for the Canons. I'm using a Coolpix 8700. It's fine but wouldn't mind moving up and over to Canon.

IMO canon is now the best bet from consumer to pro level.

just better, more natural looking images, and better technology.
