New def leppard album - opinions? Anyone care...?

Just wondering if anyone's heard the new Def Leppard album 'Yeah!' - and what your opinion is so far?

It actually got pretty good reviews but it's all covers. I heard the first 2 songs and did not care for it.

I don't really care, but I'm curious... How many times did they use the word "rock" in their song titles and / or lyrics on this album?

Def Leppard was the beginning of the end of rock and roll until Nirvana resurrected it. Def Leppard is an AC/DC substitute for teenage girls.

I saw'em on Jay Leno's show the other night - but they sounded like shit (the sound mixer did an awful job).

Rock On sounds ok IMO - not as good as the original David Essex version of course.

Love the older Lep, but most of their new albums have been marginally decent since the loss of Clark.

Def Leppard was the "New Kids on the block" of the Hairbands in the 80's

They sucked ass. They still fucking suck ass. Fuck'em.

Actually, all the "Hairbands" sucked ass, but Def Leppard was top bottom.

Please to compare them to the likes of Poison or Warrent or other crap hair bands is ludicris. Go listen to their first alumbs and tell me that crap. I bet you like today's music. It's total crap. To be frank I couldn't probally tell you who 90% of todays biggest music starts are. That's how crappy the music is. There isn't much worth listening to today, much less paying for. Even most so called "rock" band today suck. <sarcasm>Can Nickleback please keep making the same song over and over again and calling it something else? I really can't get enough of that. </sarcasm>yeah yeah I'm sure you'll say AC/DC did the same thing. Except they did it better.

he's right, Def Lep totally and completely sucked ass, and they were the first 'bubblegum' rock and roll band to really make it. I put them on the same level as Bon Jovi, music for people who like peppy tunes and cute jingles more than actual music.

Before DL it was Black Sabbath, Zep, Ac/Dc and other quality bands. They sucked, and were the first group of the giant tsunami of shit music that played on the radio all throughout the 80's.

Including Van Halen?

Evidently classic rock isn't your forte.

In conclusion - you suck.

They are in their mid 40's. Kids today won't listen to 80's type rock anymore. They have to adapt to survive. Even if means sounding like the rest of the crap that calls itself music these days.

I'm 40 now, I graduated high school in 84. I know what I'm talking about. Def Leppard sucks, and if you like them you're either a stripper or you have no musical taste whatsoever.

it was so much better in the 80's, when they just played Huey Lewis and the News, Sheena Easton and Cory Hart all day and night.
