Now, this FTL character is a different story.

There is an Aussie sort of thing Hal that came from palying football.

Because we had school football during the week and then club football at weekends it was quite often you would play against one of your good mates either in a school game (you went to different schools) or in a club game (you played for different clubs).

You never hit anyone harder, loooked to cheap shot anyone more, or sledged, slandered, smacked, belted or smashed ANYONE harder on that football field than your best mate.

Then, after the game, you'd laugh about it and have a beer together.

And yes, I did that (the beer thing) EVEN at school.
