I'm looking to take a long visit to some asian country and I'm trying to find one where I can shoot some videos without worrying about getting busted, or worse. I know a lot of guys live in PI, but I hear you can get in some real trouble. What are some good places that you guys know of?

Thailand, Phillipines, China - Highly dangerous and illegal, it takes a lot of research and many months to set up proper networks to safely shoot in these places.

Japan - Legal to shoot porn, but good luck getting models. Minimum price from escort agencies is $1500 US per day, and usually they won't even let foreigners in the door.

If you are scared of high risk and taking a lot time to learn and research the local cultures and laws, you shouldn't attempt it IMO

I definately plan to learn the culture and do plenty of research before I make any decision, but I'm just wanting a heads up on what countries should be "off-limits" for adult film-making. Thanks for the info!

No problem. Here's a bust that just happened in Thailand, unfortunately these things happen all the time here in Asia, you got to be really careful...like I said, if you are smart about it, discreet, treat everyone well and very careful you may not end up like the guy in the article below.

Bangkok Police shut down suspected pornographic webcam business in South Pattaya. German family is arrested.

We joined Police Lieutenant General Tawonsak, Deputy Commander of the Office of the Inspector-General and his team as they conducted a raid on house number 844/37 at the Holiday Paradise Village inside Soi 17, South Pattaya. Acting on a search warrant, they entered the house owned by Mr. Cornilious Gerd aged 42 from Germany. He was accused of running a pornographic internet webcam site from the house which employed Thai women. Inside the house Police seized nine computers, two laptop computers, 8 webcams and a selection of sex toys. Also in the house at the time were four Thai women, thought to be employed as webcam hostesses. They were arrested along with Mr. Gerd, his wife and family. Back at Pattaya Police Station, Mr Gerd denied allegations of running the webcam business and claimed that his only business interest was a local car rental company. Despite this, he has been charged with a variety of offences relating to pornography and is now behind bars awaiting his court appearance. Senior Officers at Pattaya Police Station are now under the spotlight as questions are sure to be asked as to why this case was not dealt with by Pattaya Police and needed a high ranking Police Officer from Bangkok to make the arrest.
