Do a google search for overclocking graphics cards. There's tons of pages out there on how to do it.

open your pixelpipelines, probably google for that is a good start
note that the cheap end 6800's / 7800 might be cards that were sort of defective to run at 16 pixelpipelines which is why they are sold as 12, but you can get lucky to open the other pipelines |

Overclocking video cards are usually a waste of time. Too much trouble and instablity for the return.

Also remember that overclocking is not always the best solutions, but optimizing for the game you are playing..
For example BF2, run at medium, with distance view at 98% there is not much difference between medium high settings that would warrant to play an online game at high.. The results at running BF2 high would be the following 1. super long load times for all the textures etc 2. more video lag on effects such as the artillary, choppers over your head and big explosions. And for all who are listening Here is the number one BF2 tweaks you might not be aware of PUNK BUSTER Punk buster by default in BF2 scans your hard drive every 8 seconds to see if everything is in check. This is the default setting and can be changed to 500 open your bf2 console when logged into a server press "~" type pb_sleep 500 Now your hard drive is being scanned only once per 8.x minutes and you will notice improved performance and less "apparent lag" then save your new settings pb_writecfg this is 100% safe with punkbuster, and will NOT cause any problems with Punkbuster thinking you are a cheater. Punkbuster even recommends this on their website |

good guide, yes im heading toward not overclocking as i want to keep the warrenty in tact, but for a 6800le it dosent run cod2 the way i had hoped, goes slow when in scope mode on some maps, ive got the settings on normal with one on high (texture) bf2 runs like a charm on default settings with the veiw distance at 100% which im happy with.
