RSS2BLOG vs. Autoblogger Pro

Here is the feature list for Rss2Blog....one thing they really don't emphasize on their site is you can also have textpods and linkpods within the system to mix in with the posts, those are formatted text post lists that rss2blog will insert in between rss pulled posts...and the link pod is a autolinking feature

basically, I just love the fact that rss2blog isn't just limited to rss feeds

-Open News Item Links in a New Window
-Make Automatic Posts to Word Press Categories
-Add Your Keywords to The Post Titles
-Copy Entire Projects easily
-Post to Many Blog Types. Compatible With Word Press 1.5.X, Blogger Blogs, Movable Type, Type Pad, Live Journal and MSN Spaces.
-One Time Installation for All Of Your Blogs!
-Eliminate footprints that the search engines can use to track you down.
-Random Posting Times - Make posts at varying times to your blog.
-Randomize the format of your blog posts using our unique template feature!
-Randomize the format of your search and rss results so that they do not always look the same.
-Add your own text example: Add "Read More" to the end of your search or RSS results instead of linking from the titles.
-Post to multiple blogs from one project
-Post to multiple wordpress categories from one project
-MYSQL Database driven for stabiity and flexibilty
-Support foreign characters from RSS and Text Pods sections
-Autolinking with each post
-Make your keyword bold automatically within each post
-Randomize and Schedule your Posts
-Filter RSS feeds for keywords
-Create Unique Titles for your posts
-Cross post multiple text files to the same blog
-Loop posting from text pods
-Categorize your projects
-Post from within a time frame from RSS and News

I bought rss2blog a whlie back, and now with this upgrade to 4.0 I have over 125 blogs that it posts to on an hourly basis...and it rotates between each blog each time, so blogs are constantly updated, but not all at once....and all text, rss and links are constantly changed up, so nothing is ever the same

I think autoblogger looks like a great package, but it seems very basic...i don't have a hard on for them or anything, I just wanna open up a dialogue as to why so many people are so gung ho on ABP.....when rss2b seems like so much of a better package

Before I took over coding on ABP i was an RSS2Blog customer, then moved to ABP, and found features they BOTH lacked. I am in the process of rewriting ABP from the ground up.

I can tell you that if you want to post to non wordpress blogs, RSS2Blog is what you want. On the other hand, if you want to be able to modify your data on the fly, dynamically, you won't want RSS2Blog. Many of the features in RSS2Blog you have listed about "bold tags" can be done in ABP.

No bashing on RSS2Blog, but it lacks lots of features, then again, so does ABP, but we're working on it.

just out of curiosity, are you referring to RSS2BLOG version 3, or version 4 which was released yesterday?

Features != Quality.

I'd take an app with 5 features that kicked ass over an app with 500 features that didn't benefit me.

rsstoblog is built for mass bloggers it is mainly used to indexing blackhat sites.

I don't use half the features in rss2blog, but I still have not had one person in this thread tell me the differences and what makes one better over the other\

actually, wait...someone said something about modifying data, dynamically, on the fly.....ok..cool..how does that benefit me? I haven't ever had to do that yet

Lets see. Dynamically being able to change 1000's of links sitewide with one edit. You don't see how that could benefit you?

or be able to change out ads spots on ech post without editing templates etc.

Ever see the threads where sponsors go down, pages move? etc. What if you just want to change your poker traffic from party poker to 2bet?

feel free to tell me how u update thousands of relevant non spam blogs daily with just a couple of minutes a day and a few clicks.

but i doubt u would, seeing that u cant even provide one link to one of ur blogs.

funny how franck almost gets banned for outing ransomware .... but ...

- since this tool depends on scraping copyrighted content why is this autoblog/rssblog shit not banned?

let's see some urls and we'll judge.

? You aren't limited to feeds with abp either you can do your own posts, and load up the autoposter with articles, and set them to post however you like. I fail to see your point here.

ABP does it

Wow. Crazy stuff.

Whole purpose of dynamic features of ABP. Always been that way.

ABP autoposter does this

-Randomize the format of your blog posts using our unique template feature!
Look up.

*sigh* yet again I ask... this is a feature?

Cool google will never pick up on that

They really felt it neccesary to add this, or did they just want to bulk up the list?

Yeah it's text, cool rss2blog supports that. Nice.

Not dynamic so pointless.

Quote:

Can be done with abp.

-Randomize and Schedule your Posts
Do it

ABP has keyword filter. Has since version 2.0

Quote:
-Create Unique Titles for your posts
Wow?

Hi. my name is splog.

ok no idea what this means but I am sure ABP prolly does it, if not I'll put it in next version, and update will be free

Quote:

Wasn't this already mentioned up top somewhere?

I know this was already mentioned up there. Maybe not I'm tired.

I don't see why this post was even made -- it's like saying "Internet Explorer 7 -- Now With the Ability to Browse the Internet!" I love how the RSS2Blog tribe keeps bringing up the "ABP vs. RSS2Blog" bullshit -- I guess you always have to chase your superiors, but it gets old.

Any updates to AutoBlogger Pro are free, FYI, and you have to PAY for each RSS2Blog upgrade, which is mightily gay, IMHO. At least, that's what the "upgrade now" email spam bullshit said.

Prognosis: gay!

You have to stop and think about using ABP?

I did too at first... so I guess I can understand...

But I wont ever make that fucking mistake again.

so basicly your favorite feature in RSS2Blog is the one that allows you to steal other peoples content?

um...all updates to rss2blog are free, I am not sure where you get that upgrades have to be paid for

I had version 3, and have for 5 months now, and version 4 came out 2 days ago and they sent it directly to me

One reason I can say that I love rss2blog and would NEVER use ABP is that the owner of rss2blog is one of the nicest people in the world and never talks down to someone inquiring about her software, and that is all I see people supporting and working with ABP doing to people on this board. It is like a big snobby fest any time someone criticizes ABP

I am not quite sure where you get that I said that. can you quote me please, because I think you may have misunderstood whatever I posted.

Rss2blog does not allow me to change nearly as much as what ABP does. Hell, one of the most boasted features of ABP is the ability to change linking codes in rss posts, HA. Isn't this on the same level as shaving?

and let me point this out, I have built up an insane internal network of site. I have paysites, free sites and maintream sites. I do not promote anything that is outside of my network, I do not believe in selling something for someone else, when I can do the exact same thing and take all the profit. So, the needing to change links across an entire network thing isn't a feature I need, because they are my links and they never change.

I use blogs for pushing up my primary site ranking, I have no interest in making pretty blogs, or blogs that people will bookmark. I have a hard time even calling them blogs because most people would laugh at them because they are just basically feeder pages that are updates on a consistant basis.

So, I guess if I wanted to make really nice blogs that people bookmarked and constantly came back to because I had pictures of hot women supplied by rss feeds from other sponsors, ABP would be perfect.

But I need hundreds of blogs (a new one each day), so that search engines have hundreds of sites that are all pushing my main sites.

Chio just a thought here about this post.. If it's 25 domains now, I think it used to be 10? Why not just make it unlimited? That way you are the same as rss2blog for pretty much the same price. I mean in reality do you sell that many second copies of server licenses?

It's just my thoughts, but if rss2blog is the only competition why not just match them and it's one more thing people can't say is better or worse. This is assuming you aren't selling that many 2 second server licenses.

Oh and for this awesome idea you could be a cool pirate an hook me up for a half price

The upgrade email told me it costs money, genius.

And who made a RSS2Blog vs. ABP post? Sheesh. Right, that was YOU.

I got the same email. It told me that I had to pay the difference between the older versions price, and the new one which was 100.00 if I remeber correctly.

I can quote the email if you'd like.
