Not gonna use it that way SPeRMiNaTor like the jackass that started this thread. I have several blogs myself as well as friends that have tons more. They have no problems with me using their posts as long as I give them credit and I will.

There's no money in this. Maybe like $5/year, but that's it.

Do something else, like TGP's.

I'm not kidding -- I'm dead serious. There is NO money in this. Don't try it.

Fandangos.com one of my first ABP test bed sites has 4400+ pages indexed in google, 40k uniques per month, and a decent number of sales each month to some sponsors via relinker feature.

An anime site I just setup about 5 days ago is already indexed, and getting about 200 uniques per day.

I can show you indexed google stats, hit stats etc. ICQ me.

He already asked his "tough questions" and learned that *gasp* you actually have to do some WORK with AutoBlogger!

JD 05-23-2006 11:41 PM

hey chio, wanna help me figure out how make use of the 20ish other licenses I've got. I've got my own hand written blogs I'd use and mrkrissy signed off before we could talk about how I could make use of them

Agent 488 05-23-2006 11:46 PM

curse god for making you lack frontal lobes, clowns!

SuziQT 05-23-2006 11:47 PM

Does ABP automatically put posts into specific blog categories?

For example: Autoblogger picks up an article about trucks and inserts it into your blog. Will it automatically put it in your "truck" category and not your "car" category? Or do all posts go into one category?

You can set it to do it either way.

I wouldn't alter their codes. I do mainly my own posts but could use the others as fillers.

NTSS 05-24-2006 12:01 AM

I gotta get this ABP..shit I'll have a fully functional blog up and running in no time. Do I even need to update it?

So, you can set it to 'pick the correct category' or do you have to set specific posts for specific categories?

ABP pulled a post from my hubbies blog to another blog and he got a TON of hits back to his blog from that one. Which is the purpose of having a feed, isn't it? As long as they are referring the source and keeping the ref codes (which they did) it's all good. I was on the fence about ABP until this happened the other day.

Agent 488 05-24-2006 12:07 AM

Huh? He said he was getting hundreds per day. Others have posted in this thread that their blogs are getting thousands per day.

What exactly are you talking about?

Are you SERIOUSLY saying that it's smarter/better to make your own content for a handful of blogs, rather than have software that will populate thousands of blogs with content? I almost can't take you seriously.

I don't personally do much more than check it every once in a while to make sure nothing major is funky with it.

Hit me up on ICQ if you want to talk about ABP, or gay midget porn. Or just click my sig and buy it, you fucker!

Agent 488 05-24-2006 12:21 AM

let's see the domains of your spam blogs and let us judge whether or not you are just scraping copyrighted content with those tools? what do you have to hide?

Exactly. Exactly, exactly, exactly.

I've said time and time again, in this thread, and in others, that thieves are gay, you should pull threads you're authorized to, etc, etc.

I post a bunch of my own content. I have over 1.5 million pages of stuff that isn't from RSS. Fully licensed and legal.

Not sure who you're talking to, but if you want to see some ABP sites, I gave you two links in the other thread.

Here they are again

http://www.fandangos.com 40k per month 4400+ pages indexed in google, and 2-4 sales per day to celeb sponsors using relinker.

other site (customer site)

http://www.ps3vault.com page 2 or 1 (depending on data center) of google for term ps3 (120+ MILLION results) Last I heard 45k per month may be more now.

those are excellent success stories. may i recommend you compile a page of them for assisting with ABP sales? a few months ago when i was shopping for this solution, i only could find one thread on gfy with an example, and the site was gone.. sorta discouraged us from purchasing.

edgeprod 05-24-2006 12:45 AM

It's kind of funny how, when these losers ask for domains, then Chio posts them, they crawl back under the fucking rocks they came out from.

yea.. this thread totally died after proper examples of ABP usage came out.

my opinion is that there is nothing wrong with posting rss feeds on blogs as long as the posts are left intact and sources are cited, via links or otherwise.

studiocritic 05-24-2006 12:48 AM

oh, and copyright law agrees: "fair use".

ABP makes me wet my pants of joy :upsidedow

SuziQT 05-24-2006 07:43 AM

Chio or edgeprod (or anyone really), can you post an example of a blog using ABP that has categories?

SuziQT 05-24-2006 10:26 AM

bump for Chio

Stallion 05-24-2006 11:06 AM

spoke to Webair and he will be dealt with. thanks Mike!

OzMan 05-24-2006 12:04 PM

The moral of the story here folks is to use your own content to post to your blogs or if you are using sponsor RSS feeds, at least customize them to make them unique.

Altering someone's feed by removing links or adding your own etc will get you into hot water sooner or later with the feed owner. You probably won't ever get found out as long as your site doesn't become the least bit popular or the feed owner doesn't check or care or you don't post your shit on GFY.

Anyhow why would you want your blog to be a regurgitation of several other adult blog's feeds, each of which most likely has a link to their sponsor and a link back to their site and is being used all over the web? Are you that desperate for unique text? Are you really going to contact the site owner for every feed you use and explain exactly how you intend to alter his/her feed and expect to get permission?

If you want to to make good money from a few blogs then babysit them manually daily, make them real perty and don't use any auto posting software.

However, as was mentioned by I think dial in another thread, you should also be using auto posting software to a large group of your blogs to generate a seemingly diverse set of backlinks to your feeder blogs and non blog money sites. I'm not talking about blog and ping crap but natural looking linking. This factor of controlling most of your backlinks is usually not mentioned but is the best use of such software. :thumbsup

Screaming 05-24-2006 12:06 PM

ive got to check this shit out.

lucas131 05-24-2006 12:09 PM

I apologize for using rss feeds and deleting source link, changing referral codes. I'm new in blogging didnt know that its illegal and stealing someone content.

I know now that its stealing won't do it any more. I delte changing referral coes, add source. I'm very ashamed of what i did. I understand your reaction cause i will be also very pissed off if someone will steal my content...

Okay now those two look more entertaining. The first one is more tabloid/gossip stuff highlights which is okay as people go for that. The second is more video game oriented and gives info on the upcoming PS3. Looks real good.

I can see where these can be of great use if you know what you're doing. In my case I have to figure out what to post. I work mainly in toons so that's the situation but I have a political domain that I think I can work into a frenzy.

So what I'll do is one mainstream political satire site and one adult toon site.

Sound good?

Thanks Chio! I'll hit you up later today. In return when I do some toons for my blogs I can hook you up. It's amazing that when I do toons for people's blogs they get crazy hits. I did some of Saddam Hussein a few years ago and people snagged that toon up like crazy. I got so many emails from newspapers around the world I was thinking they were going to my site but instead were getting the toons off other people's blogs.

I think it was Edgeprod who hipped me to ABP. He took a lot of time trying to explain it to me. I have to go over his notes and see what's up too.

Is there a market for creating toon content for blogs directly? I know there's a market for newspapers for sure.
