Identity theft specialists just estimated each persons info at a minimum of 10 dollars per person. 26.5 million personal information entities. 260 million dollars on the black market. They said thats the lowball number.

I've trolled those sites/channels out of curiousity. Scary situation though, it's incredibly easy to obtain that information.

You're right, but some things are a lot more important than that (for example, classified service records). I would be a lot more concerned if other data had been compromised.

The fucked part is it might be a couple years from now and someone on that list could get hit from it. The bad guys don't just go out and charge right away or all at once. That's a trove that they'll be able to mine for a decade and beyond.
