when Rick Salomon sued celebsunzipped and settled with verotel - this thief lindsay did not know who i was and we were standing next to each other at the circle bar during the avn show. Program reps are the bottom rung of the industry anyway...about 10 levels below gallery submitters and slighly above feed spammers. How can you hurt some one's reputation when they don't have one?

You really should out the rep no matter the outcome. They ripped you off. Just because they go back and fix it AFTER they get caught doesn't make them any less of a POS and others should be warned. IMO.

I've noticed a trend that people who start threads like this tend to use the thread to force the offending person to do the right thing out of fear of being outted, then they never reveal who the offending party was.

I admit our situation isn't quite like yours... but we've been the "inspiration" for quite a few sites on the consumer level before... without coming out and saying copying (which was fine as it just gives us more motivation to improve the technology and do something about the marketing)...

But there was this one time that a site providing live video chat solutions like 2much actually lifted the text of their entire site from ours. Not just one page, but most - straight cut and past.

Before getting miffed, I got in touch with the owner of the site and mentioned something about the text being so close I thought it would not help in the search engines, if you know what I mean.

Anyhow turned out this guy had hired some eastern euro design dude who had given him a complete site in short time and fully written heheheh with assurance that it was 100% original.

Now I don't know that this was true but I gave him benefit of the doubt and gave him an "out" he otherwise would have sunk without.

In the end, if the guy would've told me fuck you i'm on another continent try to come get me, I would have just written the site over again... but wtf, you know?

Sorry to hear that..... someone did that to me. Prob. not in such a large incident, but 3500 of my original words that I put a lot of time into were copied word for word, and I have atleast 13 files here with revisions and can prove it's mine, but decided it wasn't worth my time, but I hope you get paid back or rec. for your hard work.
