I want to scan 1000+ photos... tips?
I have a large archive of old photos to scan. My scanner is ok, and the quality doesn't need to be amazing as the idea is just to have electronic copies for tagging or case scenario purposes.
I will probably pay some high school kid to do this, but even so it would be much more efficient if he could scan several photos at once. The Windows scanner software has a preview function which automatically selects the content area to be scanned. Is there anyway to do this with several photos at once and automatically output the scans to different files? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Cheers, Hal |

My scanner used to do multiple photos at once. I'd say get a new scanner.

I was looking for something like this a few years ago, and found some stuff. There are small gadgets you could buy and feed with negatives, but not for developed photos which I would need.

Thanks guys.
I also found a tutorial on how to do this in Adobe Elements, however for $100-$200 I will just save myself the trouble and buy a photo feeder. For anyone that is interested: http://millie.furman.edu/mll/tutoria...ipleimages.pdf Cheers Hal |
