Snakes in a motherfuckin' pool.
|
I have a lot of these in my back pond that tend to get up in the pool this time of year:
http://www.linkforsex.com/images/mocc.jpg Cottonmouths/Water Mocc whatever ya call them in your area - they arent real confrontational - but they do have a nasty bite I had a friend move into my pond that has definitely cut down on the population and is the only reason he was allowed to stay: http://www.linkforsex.com/images/friend.jpg He's gone from 3 ft long last year to a little over 4 ft this year so he's eating good :) |

It hasn't failed me yet. :thumbsup |
The coral snake pictured there is actually pretty big for that species but no worries...as deadly as they are (and they are) the only people ever bit by a coral snake were handling them.
They are very shy of humans and prefer to stay away from us. Even stepping on one wont provoke a strike... |
mikesouth - thats the part that bothers me with the moccasins around here - they are always kicked back either sleeping or sunning and could give a shit less if you walk right next to them - but you step on their tail by accident they will strike - they get in my work shed all the time and I can usually just work on the table saw while they just watch - but fire up that vacuum cleaner and they get in a hissy fit :)

i used to be a pool guy back in the day and i can't count how many snakes i found in skimmers. i really dislike them now
|
whoa.. i love the colors, but then that's gonna scare the shit outta me when i see one.. oh i always thought of that when i'm under water...
|
Very scarey snake indeed however, it was fairly small.
I come from a country that doesn't have snakes and I don't like them at all! The snake was in my pool and I wanted to smoke a ciggy and in order to do so comfortably I had to get rid of the snake. LOL He really was small and that's probably why I had the balls to dispose of him. Now if I had of known that the bloody thing was venomous I would not have gone near it. hahahaha |
i like his color...

A1R3K Tell me about the wolf spiders.

For all those people who don't know what a wolf spider is. I'd be more afraid of this than that snake. <---South Florida see shit all the time the size of hands up in corners of garages just sitting there the wolf spider is large spread down here. |
nice snake you have

Im pretty sure we get those all the time here. We used to get them really bad, with new construction going on around us. |

I hate snakes.
|
Shit not what I wanted to see. I'm going to Florida in 18 days and I fucking hate snakes.

coral snakes are tiny, they can barely open their mouths wide enough to bite you! |

a coral snake is very dangerous she woildn'r come to you again? Or someone throw it in your pool. Some revenge or something? |
Cool looking snake and it is poisonous for sure.
Red touches yellow - BAD Red touches black - Not Bad |

Chill man, wolf spiders look scray but aren't poisonous, they are pretty big though. I am a Florida girl and like neither spiders nor snakes, but it ain't all that bad down here. What really can kill you down here besides half blind old people in big cars are very small tiny spiders called brown recluses. They have a violin sign on their back and are only 1/4 inch long. If one of them suckers bites you you better go and see the doc, their venom makes your flesh rott. |
wow thats an extremely dangerous snake .. pretty though
|
I like snakes ,, but shit... no a coral snake for a pet
|
Very nice lookin snake you got there
|
Quote:
TreasureBucks is lucky that's all he's had in the pool :winkwink: |
Quote:
Recluses can't kill you, and their venom does NOT make your flesh rot. Most reclues bites heal up on their own with no medical attention whatsoever. |

Ugh...glad we don't have any poisonous snakes around here...they are all endangered and very rare to see, like the Timber Rattler and the Cottonmouth.
|
Not sure I'd like to walk outside and see something like that!
