Sorry, but although Franck is at times a bit of a bitch, if a program's shit is tight there would be no way for the Franck's of this world to take shots at it.

He seems to have several valid points. Instead of avoiding his accusations and talking about all the happy satisfied clients they have mabye the program owners should be directiy addressing his points?

No one from the program seems to want to step up and address this redirecting of firefox users, for example. Personally, whether it's 5% or 8 or 10%, I don't care... it would be traffic of mine that is lost..... and basically stolen if we're being real here.

Guys like Franck may be a pain in the ass at times, but they also keep programs on their toes, and more honest.

I love Epic and send a good chunk of my traffic to you, as well as submit to linklists run by your company. Having said that, I'm very put off by this whole situation.

I understand the concept of the bottomline. I send traffic to Epic, despite all the negativity (deserved or not) surrounding the company, because they pay well and convert. But if the allegations about WD are true (and they seem to be), then I'd pull my traffic from any program supporting them.

I'm just kind of curious what would make you download and test the thing out without really having a reason to? I would never really think of doing that. If I was dealing with somebody I trusted I would just take their word for it until I heard reason to look into it. I know its naive and not very thorough... but thats just me. That still means that you support installing RansomWare on surfer machines regardless of whether or not you turn off someones exits. And that software could turn that surfers machine into a spamming machine at any moment. Given the bad history of this type of stuff in this industry I'm suprised anyone would have any involvement with it. I guess don't ask don't tell is great business practice.

My exits are off already. That's not the issue. Even if my exits are off, hundreds of other webmasters have them on, which means tens of thousands of computers having this software installed on them. And if the allegations prove to be true, then that's tens of thousands of computers infected by scumware that Epic Cash helped propogate in the name of the mighty dollar. That's the issue.

I'm not bashing your program. But based on what I've read tonight and what others have pointed out, this software isn't as harmless as some are making it out to be. You say you'll investigate further, and I believe it. And I trust that if the allegations are true, the program will be pulled from your exits.

jim I have no issues with you, but your boss is a cock sucker.. However you are wrong on this one.. If I hadn't already pulled by Epic Cash links over pimpledog calling me a pedo on this board, I'd pull them over something like this being in an exit chain.

The same goes for any other programs that include this program in their exit chains. If you read their TOS it tells you every thing you need to know about what they are doing someone in another thread put it best, when they called it extortion ware.

They are giving you a very limited time to un-install it then if you don't you have to pay to un-install it. This is down right some nasty unethical shit.

We have enough enimies in this biz do we really need to give the govt more free ammo just so you guys can make a quick buck?

What the fuck is your problem? I've never bashed EpicCash and this has nothing to do with Franck. Franck isn't even the one that pointed out the issue with moviepass, it was someone else.
