MacBook

Did anyone pick up a MacBook? If so what are your impressions so far and what are some things that I should be looking for? I just picked mine up and forgot to use my student discount so I have to head back to the store sometime this week to get a refund of 100 bucks.

I have been looking at the macbook pro and I heard that there are noise & overheating problems with it. I'm gonna look into this further. How much of a discount do they give for students?

I've wanted a Mac and am considering the smallest Macbook for overnights at the girlfriend's.

I really want to dual boot windows and osx, and don't want to wait until I can boot osx on my pc.

YARGH!

You don't need to wait to boot osx on your pc. It's been available for a bit.

Google osx86

I did a test and installed osx on my Wife's VAIO (boy was she pissed) Worked flawlessly.

As for the Macbook An employee of mine in the UK got the mac book pro about a week ago and is totally gaga over it.

The student discount on the Macbook that I purchased is only 100 dollars. I think it might be 200 for the Macbook Pro.

Here is the one I purchased.

The new macbook pro is sick. As far as I know, the first couple shipments had a few problems but they fixed those issues.

That IS my story... I never turn my laptops off unless I'm travelling. Maybe that's why they only last a year.
