Firefox is in way near 25% More like 8%

VicD 05-17-2006 05:59 PM

I checked it out and cancelled already

Fatalspeed 05-17-2006 06:02 PM

firefox isn't 25% but it's still wrong to redirect that traffic imo.
and the google search doesn't look so good either..

And at the end of the day...It should be about how much $$$$ you make sending to me. I have the first or second "WHOLE" exit console from Platinum, Epic, Mayor, Pornopushes, SpaCash, Python, Pornkings and on and on and on. That is only because I convert the traffic to $$$$$.

Question is: do your affiliates get $$ for that x%?

pood 05-17-2006 06:35 PM

worth a bump i guess

spacedog 05-17-2006 07:02 PM

Juicy D. Links 05-17-2006 07:12 PM

As of a year ago, FF users were just under 8%, over 20% in Europe. Most of my friends use FF.

KrisKross 05-17-2006 07:20 PM

Obviously, they redirect Firefox traffic because they can't exploit it. And because it can't be exploited, the traffic is effectively worthless to them.

Uhm ok.

same thing here. Tried two browsers. First one i see the AFF ad and the second nothing happened ...

Sly 05-17-2006 08:30 PM

I have yet to see anybody say "this is a good idea" yet except the sponsors using it as exits. Hehe. Guba anyone? Actually, I think Guba fared better, some people even thought it was a great idea!

Well, apparently, holding the (albeit anonymous) user's machine for ransom by routinely harrassing them on startup and not providing a simple standard means of removing the software is one way to coerce users into payment.

There seems to be a mountain of diverse sources suggesting this is a very common scenario.

Is this true??

Rather than assuming anything I ASKED YOU.

Are you involved with/related to Movie.tv?

That's a typo on my part. I meant to ask if you are related to MoviePass.tv and I see from your website that you ARE MoviePass.tv

Regardless of your claims (and those of your supporters) of the ease of removal, there seem be many complaints against your 'product' and an overwhelming hostility by users (who feel more like victims) of your product.

Even if your product is 'easy' to remove you have some work to do with customer/market perceptions. They may be ignorant surfers, but a few quick search engine queries yield a far more negative consumer attitudes towards you than positive.

Why is that?

If I understand correctly, you keep emphasizing that you make money for your affiliates.

Is that all you are about as an enterprise, or are you working on the bad rep you seem to have outside of GFY?

People have nothing better to do then start shit. WD will issue a very interesting statment in the morning addressing our views on certain people's desision to risk our business relationships and those of other programs. Your support (as you will see in the morning, on the boards and off) is greatly appreciated. EC is a solid group. I appologize for any inconvenience that this has caused and am EXTREMELY confident that people will begin being more careful before throwing lies around. Till morning.

rhizome 05-17-2006 10:31 PM

Look, the scammers are back. First it was trialbucks.com with their Movie Networks site and MediaPipe Download Manager (it only cost $81 but the surfer never knew until it showed up on their credit card statement) and now they come back a year later with this shit.

I remember trialbucks, could have been better if they had higher payouts considering what they were charging the surfer.
