Assuming most people generally start kindergarten at age 5 - you'd be in the 2nd grade at 7.

I only recall a few memorable highlights from that age...not a whole lot of details or specifics. We were living in Oshawa, Ont. at the time - down near the lake. I can remember how the ice cream truck went up and down the street during the summer months - and that I used to buy these plastic orange baseballs filled with orange sherbet ice cream (with a piece of bubblegum in the middle). We also had what they called a 'bookmobile' truck that would come around - basically it was a portable library where you could borrow books without having to make a trip to the library.

My parents often took me to see movies at the Mustang Drive-In in Lindsay (think it was Lindsay) back then. I also spent a lot of time at the Simcoe Hall Boys Club (sorta like a YMCA for kids back then) - my father was the exec. director at the time...and I always had free and unlimited access to the gym, pool, games room, radio room, craft workshop, etc.

I remember milk at school went from 1cent to 2cents and my mother thought it was outrageous. The playground at the school was really cool, with these massive trees with giant roots to play on. I got glasses my first year of school there and hated it because sure enough, the other kids picked on me.

In those times, my whole family would do the typical American road trip summer vacations. 5 kids in the back of the station wagon with mom and dad, pulling a pop-up camper. We would do the whole national park camping trip thing. My dad rigged up hoses to the car's AC so it would reach to the back of that boiling hot car.. Pretty cool memories though.

Good old times early 70's style.

When i was 7 i got tired of the figure skating that i was practicing and wanted to sit at home and doo nothing (what i still love to do), but my mom send me to balley dance and i started to shirk the classes, go to the centre in mothers stockings. I thought i lokked like a grown-up. THose stockings turned to be dirty and holy.

I think i use to play pretend war at school with our plastic machine guns and the girls couldnt play :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

skateboarded... by the time i was 9 I almost got sponsored by Santa Cruz... then I busted my arm pretty bad for the second time, and that was the end of that...

Played with my 'Fuzzy Feltz' and cuddled my pet chicken.

I musta spent 1000 hours of my life holding on to a fence, trying to ollie -- never could, and prolly destroyed a dozen pair of Vans trying. I could grind like a mofo, though.
