SINGLE...SINGLE...not the fucking World Cup that comes once in a blue moon. or the olympics. Single. meaning one fucking game a year..every year consistently. jesus fucking christ. Show me something that is more than 96 million EVERY FUCKING year if the superbowl was once every 4 years it would easily eclipse 150 million viewers. |

YOu have been told at least three times in this thread that a "game plan" for the next play must be thought up of. They huddle and decide on a play between downs. |

Fact time. Rugby was a growing and popular game in the USA in the late 1800's. Rule changes were suggested originally by Walter Camp in 1876 (who was on the Yale Rugby team) to make the game 'easier' and to reduce the number of injuries. Out of this came American Football along with protective elements to the players because Rugby was 'too hard and brutish a game' Oh dear it seems American Football is the gay offspring of Rugby!:thumbsup |

I don't get rugby. Seems just like a big game of toss the ball to someone before you get your ass kicked then kick it at some pole for no good reason. WTF kind of sport is that? |

Ok lets go for the English FA Cup final (once a year) and has an TV audience of 250 million worldwide or does that not count because its worldwide (ie popular) and not just the UK (which was 11 million) |

Rugby guys are a breed all of their own, thick as a box full of hammers and tough as nails. As for size and speed? errr Rugby guys are huge and run head on into each other and they're not slow... good players need size and speed... |

Might be worth you watching a rugby game, as they always hit each other head on at top speed. You'd be surprised at how hard their bodies clash. |

Because NFL is for gays. And Rugby is for men. |

you are completely wrong. Football (soccer) is the most popular sport in most latin american countries (except those countries that USA occupied illegaly) People don't even know what beisboll is in most countries in latin america. Beisboll sucks too, so as NFL does. |

Hmmmm "Players born outside the 50 United States represented 27.4 percent of those surveyed on the 2006 Opening Day rosters of the 30 Major League Baseball Clubs, it was announced today. Overall, 223 of the 813 players (747 active, 25-man roster players and 66 players on disabled lists) on April 2 rosters were born outside the 50 United States, representing 15 different countries and territories. The 2006 figure of 27.4 percent is the third highest total on record, with last year's record high of 29.2 percent (242 out of 829 players) leading the way. The Dominican Republic, with 85 players, produced the most Major Leaguers born outside the U.S., while Venezuela had the next highest total with 43 players and Puerto Rico follows with 33. " |

And Bush moved trops this week to the Mexico limits to stop thousands of latino going insida USA every week. :winkwink: I also ask myself why there are so many latinos, or latin lastnames in this biz :winkwink: Same reason I guess :winkwink: |
Quote:
Well, the same I answered above :thumbsup But let's go straight to things here... there are about 30 countries in Latin AMerica, of whom around 25 have Soccer as thier most popular sport :thumbsup If Cuba, Venezuela or Dominican Republic have Beisball as their first sport, that does not change things really :winkwink: All them represent maybe 5% of LAtin America, in terms of population and in terms of territory :thumbsup Not a big deal. :winkwink: |
i like it

There are boring games in soccer as Im sure there are in football. This comparing sports is really retarded. Its really what you are into and how much you know about the sport. I didnt grow up watching football so I dont understand it, dont know any players, which teams are good etc.. that doesnt mean the sport is boring. |
just fucking get over it, everyone has their own taste in sports... jesus fucking christ all mighty
|
wtf, I can't believe this thread is still going on.
I watch American Football, I watch regular football (soccer, I'm sorta excited about the World Cup). I watch Major League Baseball. I'm watching the NBA playoffs. I watch volleyball games. I mean I watched the damn Winter Olympics. Bottom line: who the hell cares what is better than what else and which players can beat up who? Everyone get over their preferred sport and just watch whatever the hell game you want to watch. |
If you wanna understand American football, Come to the Us on any friday night in October and find the local High School! The feeling is unreal! Most these kids have been in full pads by 3rd grade and let me tell you 3rd graders can hit, I mean absolutly level someone! High school games run alot quicker than college or pros! Local school runs no huddle 5 wide out offence! Very fast 2 and a half hour game are the normal and have seen a game over in 1 and half!
