Phishing fucks.. never seen this one yet....

Hah, got a phishing email for E-Gold account today... It's amazing what these fucking scumbags will try to make a little $$$$ these days...

Whats the weirdest ones you've seen come through that you would not think someone would try?

Got one this a.m. from a lady in UK who simply wanted help in transfering funds from American clients to her. It actually sounded really harmless and sincere, she's an artist, blah blah ... overall, well thought out enough that I actually read through (to see where the "catch" was).

Anyhow, I'm sure this guy will net a bunch of gullibles with this one.

I don't even read e-mail anymore. Unless it mentions my program or something related to me personally in the first sentence it gets deleted.

the funniest story i ever heard regarding phishing ( well maybe not so funny )

was out of california , some guy fell for one of those nigerian banking scams, the one he feel for was like this . dude who claims to be from nigerian govt who secreted away several million dollars in offshore accounts , and he just needs your bank account to transfer in the funds.. then you split the cash with him..

anyways , the scammer couldnt get access to the guys account so he tried claiming that they were on t him and they were going to kill him ( the dupe ) , anyways the dude freaked out and ended up killing himself thinking nigerian dudes were on there way to his house to kill him ..

Yeah... I think they should seriously offer instructions for the internet when you sign up for the first time.. Some people are really fuckin stupid and let their greed get in the way of rational thought...
