What do you mean enable alt-tags?
If you mean 'hovering' over an image and seeing the alt tag in a text-box, you should be using 'title' tag instead of alt-tag. Alt tag is.. alternative tag IF pic isn't shown, not 'hover-mouseover text-box thing'.

well thanks for that, i learned something new.

but it works in IE, just the test does not show up in firefox.

yes, i want to read the text when mouse is on the image.
