Verotel - are they legit?

I'm thinking of using Verotel as a processor for membership sites. Has anybody used them before and are they legit? Ever have any problems getting paid? How is their customer support? Any sort of info would be appreciated, thanks

lots of people use them

their stats (at least for affiliates) are horrible. they don't even tell you how many hits were sent, they only report sales.

If you use the hosted banners in the admin area of your sponsor, you should get click stats. We've just started using Verotel for http://www.allchubby.com and so far it's been perfect for us.

they're legit.

horrible stats, as said above. and kinda expensive unless you're in Europe and have your own merchant account. The per sale and monthly fee sums up quite quickly compared to other billers. On the good side, they have a billing ratio of around 1.2/1.3 higher than other 'scrub hard' billers and oddly enough, their CB ratio (main reason for scrubbing) isn't higher than Paycom or CCBill. And you get more CC options than US billers, which is always great.

Support is decent and they don't fool around with customers or affiliates

Just my 2 rupees

From an affiliate prospective I'd suggest using someone else. Like others have said I don't like their stats AT ALL!

Ya i've used and gotten paid for years with them. There payment related customer support doesn't do well - i've had no responses or heavily delayed answers.

That "Ticket Club" form Verotel uses is ugly

Thanks everybody for the great info. Who do you recommend instead of them? I'm talking about as the owner of the site not an affiliate.... It seems like there are no costs at all, actually. With CCbill you have to pay that visa charge but with Verotel it doesn't seem like you have to... With that Ticketsclub option you don't have any charges but the 15% that they take. I've only done affiliate work up till now. This seems like the perfect way to start experimenting with membership sites without having a lot of upfront costs. Or are there better processors out there for what I want to do?

Man, the info in the site is for you to actually READ it. There's no charge... if you don't want to accept Credit Cards. If you want to accept Credit Cards, then you need to apply for Verotel PRO

Quote:
From Verotel Light page at http://www.verotel.com/t13000-en.html

With Verotel Light, there is no credit card payment option, but all the other payment options are available
Verotel Pro:

SETUP FEE WEEKLY REGISTRATION FEE
USD 1,500.00 USD 7.50
Of course you have the TicketsClub option, but then you won't have affiliates options and other stuff, but if this fits your needs, then yes, it's free to join. However, you'll discover it's not all that sunny, we tried it at first and it sucks ball so we had to move to the PRO option (still cheaper than $2000 for US incorporation plus $700 VISA fee)

$2000 for US incorporation? Somebody was totally hosing you. Depending on which state you do it in, cost is as low as $100, with another $50-75 for a registered agent.

Control panel is not flashy.

E-mail support's slow. You can always call them, but the Dutchies are hard for me to understand over the phone. So I use their live support chat when I need a fast answer. That is VERY nice.

Payments always come on time, or early. Which is most important to me.

I've been with them going on year, and any grief's been minimal. Just don't bother with the e-mail. But other than that, they are better than a LOT of other billers out there.

I also like that they give a lot of different payment options.

I would recommend them to anyone.

Verotel has been brilliant for us ever since dumping CCbill we have not looked back, they process so many more sales than the other processors...

They owe me over $1,000 for an adult site, and over $500 from a mainstream site.
