Wow you pretty much suck at this. Too much of a dreamer. First round upsets in the NBA? Come on...

Cavs
Det
NJ
Miami

SA
Dallas
Den
Pho

Denver and NJ will be the only two that dont own the competition but they will still win. That Laker shit is a joke.

I don't pick on the rankings.

Suns have been eliminated early too much, Phil hasn't been. Lamar is playing at a new level, as is Kwame, I think you will be surprised.

The Kings is a feeling, it isn't logical.

And hey, The Clipper have a winning record against Denver this year, but they are playing terrible right now and I can't go with them.

Nice Picks Cory,

But I think Sac will lose in 6 games to San Antonio, Lakers lose in 5 and Clippers win in 6...

So the east, I agre with you, but the west is,

San Antonio
Clippers
Phoenix
Dallas

The Spurs pick is a hunch.

That's why they play the game!

And I don't see the Lakers pick as absurd.

The Lakers have played The Suns 4 times this season. They lost 3 of those games. The 1 game they did win was only because Nash did not play in that game.

Detroit is the only shoe-in for me as well.

I just don't think San Antonio is that dominant. I think Sac town can kill them on the boards. Sorry, the pick isn't that crazy.

Wizards vs. Cavs
> Cavs
- WAS has the better all around team, but Lebron will carry CLE.

Det vs. Milw
>Det
- Sweep?

New Jersey vs. Indiana
>New Jersey
- Could take 6 or 7 games. NJ has the better overall team, but IND will give them problems.

Miami vs. Chicago
>Chicago
- This is a tossup, it'll go 6 games either way. Wade has a history of poor performance (as compared to normal) against CHI's best in the NBA defense. Shaq cannot beat CHI alone.

SA vs. Sac
>SA
- Artest is good, but he can't carry SAC past SA. They should hope to win two.

Dallas vs. Memphis
>Dallas
- DAL in 5.

Denver vs. LAC
>LAC
- The "who cares, neither will make it past 2nd round" matchup.

Lakers vs. Phoenix
>Lakers
- The most difficult matchup to pick from. I want to say PHX as a team, but I like Bryant's chances of carrying the Lakers on his back. This totally depends on Bryant.

I've already forked down the money on playoff seats (am a season ticket holder) so I'm hoping they can get out of the first round (or atleast take it to 6). I think they match up well with Miami and have played them tight this year. They have always been able to contain Shaq and play good perimeter defense. Mourning is out Game 1 I believe so they really have the opportunity tonight to steal one. Miami just plays such shitty defense that I think they are vulnerable.

Bulls - Heat game was pretty good. Bulls were shooting well outside but had no answer for Shaq all game. If the officials aren't as generous in the coming games, Bulls have a pretty good shot.

I think you are completely out of your mind. Lakers are going to win with Phoenix? LOL... I think you expect Kobe to have 80 point games for that to happen...

San Antonio with Sacramento? Uhhhh... someone has been hitting the crack pipe too much...

Kobe Bryant is not an all-round basketball player. He is a ball-hog, he has a horrible sorrounding cast (except Odom), and he will NOT carry his team past the first round. Phoenix one of my favourites for the championship this year... highest scoring team in the NBA, with a run and gun tempo... close to impossible to defend against..

Out of Los Angeles I see the Clippers going higher then the Lakers..

As for NBA Title... I would go between Phoenix and Dallas (who cares about Detrots defense).

SAC lost by only 34 pts in the 1st game. Not to mention the Suns-Lakers prediction, these two are funny to say the least, I hope you're not betting on these games

btw, the "surprise" will be Bulls, they'll take the series against Heat. Here's my prediction for playoffs:

DET-MIL: DET
CLE-WAS: CLE

NJ-IND: NJ
MIA-CHI: CHI

SAS-SAC: SAS
DAL-MEM: DAL

DEN-LAC: LAC
PHX-LAL: PHX

2nd round

DET-CLE: DET
NJ-CHI: CHI

SAS-DAL: SAS
LAC-PHX: PHX

Semifinals
DET-CHI: DET
SAS-PHX: SAS

Final
DET-SAS: SAS

First game the Pacers "stole" in a long time... it is usually us getting robbed.

Anyone else think the Spurs had something to say to the west?

let's see: Spurs got the first seed in the West playing like crap. Crappy and all, that was enough. And they always get better when playoffs come, they got their first PO game with a difference of 34 pts, with Ginobili making only 10 points, all the roster playing by mid of 3rd quarter and last 10 minutes playing with the 2nd and 3rd unit. What will SAC put against them? Bibby?

For what I see, unless Duncan or Ginobili get injured (which is quite posible since they never were healthy this season), Spurs will repeat, simple as that.

I am getting killed in my picks.

I can't believe the Kobe performance. Some say it is a bad omen for the Suns, I don't know how I feel just yet. However they HAVE to win on Wed.

Spurs will not shoot 69 percent the rest of the series...

Kobe and Lakers got ROBBED on that foul on Kobe in the last minute - the one where he got slapped so hard on his forehead that he grew an instant horn. Fucking bullshit.

I say Lakers will whoop the Suns in the next game - shit, they almost got the Suns without Kobe even being CLOSE to where he normally is. My pick with the Lakers as winners there still stands.

Only bad omen for Phoenix after that game is...they're now 7 wins from the Western Conference Finals...where the Spurs are going to knock them out in 6 games.

...Bad omen, that's hilarious...hahahaha

Lakers don't have a chance. Come on guys .. lets be real here. All they have is Kobe and he is a one man show. No team gets far in the Playoffs unless you have team play.

Only possible upsets of the first round ..... Bulls over Miami and Denver over the Clippers. Watch for the Nets to come back strong after the game 1 loss.

Exactly...about the Lakers.

all the teams I picked to advance to the next round won their games 1st game, except New Jersey...they'll take that series in 7...Indiana will get a couple more wins yet in that series.
