Wouldn't sell it for less than $1.000.000 (j/k)

i've had an offer for one of my .biz domains for $50k two weeks ago..but i'm developing a site with pretty good potential, so had to decline the offer...

this guy was a domain speculator/flipper too..crazy how inflated the prices of domain names are nowadays...

i sold it for $1k about a year ago.. but i've had a few people (none reputable) tell me they think its worth a lot more.

saw all the domain threads and it sparked my curiosity..

i do have a few decent (no big one worders, nothing spectacular) .com's in my portfolio, but bleh..

i was at a business conference recently, held by an association of venture capital partners.. they talked about the components of pre-money valuation..

$500k-1M for the idea, and potentially $500k-2M for the domain.

for those of you who don't know what that means, basically the VCs are thinking that the domains are more valuable than the ideas they plan to put on there.

the web is catching up with real world business. in a large metro, the land you put your (failing) restaurant on is worth more than your restaurant.

I'm not trying to Hijack your thread but can someone give me an idea how much onlinefemales.com is worth? I have a decent offer for the domain but I want to make sure I am not doing anything crazy
Thanks

Has anyone used godaddy's appraisal tool? If so what did you think of the results? I've never done this, but just spent 10k on a domain so am interested in getting it appraised (for fun, no intention of selling it) and have no idea where else to do it, what people in the biz think is reliable, etc.

no appraisal tool is of any value. inflating one's ego is the only thing they are good for. hold your domains for the best offer or employ a separate strategy of buying low and selling below retail to do volume.

Wow, nice.. $50k for a .biz. Good to see .biz getting some decent offers. I think MP3.biz is available for only $5k.
