Red Ezra Press Release - DIMEVISION Volume One - "That's The Fun I Have..."

Red Ezra Directs #1 selling Music Video DVD Dimevision Vol. One, "That's The Fun I Have...".

U.S. sales debuts for the week ending May 7, 2006, as reported by Nielsen SoundScan - "DimeVision Vol. 1: That's the Fun I Have" DVD: 12,000 units sold (#1 on Billboard Music DVD chart) - Directed and Edited by David "Red Ezra" Lockard (redezra.com) and released by Vinnie Paul Abbott's new record label BIG VIN RECORDS. (bigvinrecords.com)

You can view the teaser trailer for "DimeVision Vol. 1: That's the Fun I Have" at this location:
HERE

"Dimebag and I worked together on a lot of music video projects. This is my second time being a part of a #1 for a Music Video DVD. The PANTERA Home Video Part 3 Watch it Go! debuted at #1 too." Dime has a loyal fanbase Internationally as guitar player for multi-platinum heavy metal band PANTERA and most recently with his new band DAMAGEPLAN. This video is #1 because of Dimebag Darrell so that's really what makes this so special, people love him and miss him. It was un-imaginable to deal with the sudden loss of such a close and dear friend." Abbott was killed onstage December 8th of 2004 by a deranged fan during a DAMAGEPLAN concert in Columbus, Ohio.

"Slowly, months afterward, the momentum started to make a tribute DVD with the people closest to Dime - Vinnie Paul Abbott, Dime's brother and bandmate, Rita Haney, Dime's girlfriend, and Daryl "Bobby Tongs" Arnberger, Dime's friend and assistant. Anyone who has ever lost a loved one might have some experience with what it is like going thru memoirs like videos or photos. Very painful and day to day. Imagine a truckload full of boxes from floor to ceiling and you have an understanding of the mountain of material that has to be sorted and organized for someone like Dimebag. It's going to take time and the only way is there has to be more than one volume, it is just too over-whelming to do all at once."

"This is not a PANTERA or DAMAGEPLAN Home Video, it's about Dimebag Darrell Abbott. Those Home Video projects are coming later. The DIMEVISION Vol. One DVD shows Dimebag how I knew him...fun-loving, insanely talented, big-hearted, creative, genuine, and driven for the fans making music full throttle. At times I couldn't watch the tapes but eventually I would come across something that would make me laugh and it fired me up. We had a lot of laughs together...one of the best moments in the video (for me) is where I chased a truck around in his front yard with a video cam! It's a bit hard to try and describe but when you see it for yourself you won't be able to hold back the laughter. It's one of the most fun times I have ever had in my life."

"Dime is the one who gave me the Red Ezra nickname...We got drunk on EZRA BROOKS whiskey on a guitar photo shoot once. We were in the rain under a railroad trestle with Frankenstein gloves and rebel flags. It's the only time we ever drank that particular brand of whiskey actually but somehow the name stuck and I have been known by it ever since. Go with it! as Dime would always say, so I did."

"This is a must see video for any Dimebag Darrell fan out there. I am very proud to have worked on this project and I am happy it is finally available to the fans to keep his spirit alive in all of us. Fans can submit their photos and video footage for upcoming DIMEVISION volumes at [email protected]. Dime forever! Getchapull!"
